It was my last class of the day and I had to go to this stupid ACT prep class with this annoying old bitch who sounded like a mix between Mickey Mouse and Alvin off of the chipmunks. I went to my last class period teacher's class to tell her I was going to the class when she pulled me off to the side.

"Lukas..are you okay?" She asked looking at me concerned

"Ah I'll be fine Mrs. Bischoff" I sighed rubbing my neck

"You have just looked so awful here lately. You used to always look so nice but now you look as if you haven't slept in weeks" she said

"Just have alot going on at the moment" I replied

"You used to smile all the time even when you were mad you couldn't help but smile" she said looking at me

Looking out of the corner of my eye Jenna walked up and stood there listening and looked to be waiting for the teachers attention.

"Mrs. Bischoff, can I go get dressed for work?" she asked

"Uhm...yeah" she replied watching my eyes as I watched Jenna walk back in the room and my eyes begin to water

She waited for Jenna to leave the room then looked at me as if the whole puzzle had been pieced together. As Jenna walked by her hand brushed against my arm making the lump in my throat much bigger.

"She's the reason you've been breaking down in class and looking so rough, isn't she?" she asked

"Yeah.." I replied looking at my feet

"What's going on?" She asked

"Nothing just...a lot going on right now. A lot of stuff is being blamed on me and not being able to talk to her is making it worse" I replied my voice cracking

"Yeah.." She replied looking at me the worry in her eyes very noticeable

"It's just I was really digging her and just...I don't know I guess" I replied

"Well don't let it get to you" she replied

"Yeah..well I better get going" I said shuffling on my feet

Sitting in my ACT prep class someone passed me a note telling me to text Jenna and tell her to meet her at the end of the day to give her a ride to work. Instead I waited til school let out then called her. 3 rings and then she picked up

"Hey uh Savannah told me to tell you to meet her by the Youth Service Center to give you a ride to work" I said

"Okay thank you bye" she replied

"Yeah no problem see ya" I said hanging up the phone

I was walking down the hall playing on my phone when I looked up and saw her. She ran her hand along my arm when she walked by. Getting on my bus I put my headphones and rode the rest of the way home in silence. When I got home I drove around at around 10 I pulled up to get gas forgetting she worked at the restaurant next to it. I saw her standing outside as if she was waiting for someone so I paid for my gas then pulled up beside her

"Need a ride?" I asked hesitantly

"It's nice of you to offer but I wouldn't want to bother you" she replied

"Wouldn't be a bother but I mean okay stupid of me to offer anyways" I said putting my car into gear

"Wait...Lukas..I'll take the ride if the offer still stands" she said looking at me

"Still stands get in" I said

She walked around the car and got into the passenger seat. When she was buckled in and the door was closed I pulled out of the parking lot of the restaurant

"So where are you going?" She asked

"Huh?" I asked

"Oh..I saw the suitcases in the back..where are you going?" She replied looking at me

"I'm moving back to California" I replied getting over into the next lane

"Oh..when are you planning on leaving?" She asked

"A couple weeks" I replied

"Will I get to see you again?" She asked

"Like you care" I huffed

"Oh like you'd know. You know everything don't you?!" She yelled

Looking at her I pulled on the road to the lake I first took her to when I got back to the lake I stopped the car and took the keys out of the ignition leaving the headlights on. Getting out of the car I walked over to the dock and fell to my knees crying. I heard footsteps walking up behind me but I ignored them.

"Lukas..what is wrong" She said kneeling beside me

"I'm moving to get away from you" I cried

"Why?" She asked running her hand across my shoulders

"Because Jenna you'll never understand" I replied pulling away from her sitting down and wiping my eyes

"Understand what?" She asked confused

"I never meant to hurt you. I hurt someone I didn't wanna hurt and I can't stand to look you in the eyes without crying. Every time I look at you I cry because all of the blame is on me and the worst part is I think I deserve it and I deserve to feel this way" I replied

"Lukas...don't think of things that way" she replied

"Yeah come on I need to get you home before you mom goes all psycho on me" I said standing up

"I already texted her sit here with me for awhile" she said looking up at me

Sitting down I sat looking out over the water and for the first time in what felt like forever. I finally felt calm like the world wasn't resting on my shoulders.
