Going back to Texas would be good for him.

Going back home will be good for him.

I glanced over at Jensen as he was smiling as he drove us through the Austin back roads to the one house that brought us together and the one house that drove me away.

Jensen tapped on the steering wheel, "Man, I love this place."

I smiled back at him as Finn was in the back seat with JJ and Zeus pointing at the random houses.

I glanced back at him, "Maybe one day we will live here."

Jensen looked over at me as we came up to the house, "Here we are."

I looked at the giant lake house that brought back so many emotions. I sat in my seat for a moment when I saw the front door swing open and the lady come out on the front steps.

"Aunt Mae!" Jensen shouted with open arms as Zeus nudged my arm.

I finally got out of the car as JJ was running up to the lady.

Finn hung tight to Jensen's leg as the lady looked over at me.

I smiled back at her, "Hey Mae."

"Well I guess hell did freeze over." Mae said back to me.

I nodded my head back at her as Jensen glanced back at me.

Mae looked at Jensen then back at me, "He doesn't know, does he?"

"He knows some of it." I looked back at her.

Mae nodded her head as she picked up JJ, "Come on in the house."

Jensen grabbed my arm as I picked up Finn, "You know my aunt?"

I looked back at him, "I spent many a night in this house Jensen. She knows me pretty well."

Jensen closed his eyes as I went into the house with Zeus behind me.

I stepped inside the house as the old wood beams along the top of the ceiling was still there along with the walls full of photos.

I put Finn down as he ran after JJ.

I looked at the photo of Jensen standing next to the one horse that ever liked him on the property.

Mae walked over to me as Jensen took the bags up the steps.

She looked over at me, "How much does he remember?"

I looked back at her, "He knows the day I left."

"Wasn't that hard enough?"

"He doesn't know the nights we spent down at the river. He doesn't know the nights we spent in your barn getting drunk. He just doesn't know."

"And maybe he shouldn't. I pulled him from a rough life into a life that he deserved. But here you are to drag him back."

I looked back at her.

"I told you that summer that I never wanted you back in his life but here you are."

"And I told you that I was sorry for what I did."

Mae shook her head back at me, "A part of me wants to trust you but then I remember the night you put a gun to my head and forced me on my knees."

I glanced back at her.

"I remember things too Victoria."

I flinched when Jensen walked down the steps, "Man, it is gorgeous here!"
