Roshni opened the door using the house key, she ran up the stairs and slowly opened her dad's room, he was fast asleep. She admired the calmness of the man who raised, the man who didn't remarry for her sake. Tears welled up her eyes and she thought that she's getting emotional for no reason, she bent down kissing his forehead, inhaling the smell of his perfume and oil that he lightly applies on his hair everyday. Apart from worrying about her dad, these days the doctor has taken a certain place in her mind, she thought about the date which was sudden and the dance, how did I end up dancing with him on a beach, she never thought that her life would become like this. This complicated feeling about a man she's has just known for a week.

It was a fresh Monday morning and Roshni decided to go to office today, she didn't want her dad to stress much.

Surya got ready for work and sat for breakfast, his little sister Meera was sitting opposite to him, she was three years younger than him and she seemed pretty upset, surya adores and loves his only little sister a lot but he knows that she's very dramatic. When she was twenty her little kitten got lost and they tried every possible way to find it but failed, she refused to eat for days and ended up in the hospital bed , Surya was in no mood for drama since he had to rush for work already . He stood up kissed her on the forehead and left for work

Surya had planned to setup a medical camp in one of the slum areas of Chennai , his chief had called his team for a meeting regarding it and the rest of the day went busily with a lot of patients. He drove out of the hospital parking and that's when he remembered he had to take some money from his ATM , he drove to the nearest ATM and withdrew five thousand rupees. As he sat on his car seat it started pouring and with in seconds it proved to be a heavy down pour , he  drove crossing Roshni's house and his legs instinctively slowed down ,he actually​ saw a figure standing outside the gate and  immediately he lowered his car window , it was her struggling with her keys. After parking his car on the side Surya rushed out with his umbrella to help her, she was busy trying to open the gate that she failed to notice him, he held the umbrella over her head and she realized the rain had stopped falling on her and looked up to find​ and umbrella holding doctor , who was Surya
" Ouh it's you, I'm sorry i didn't-"

" It's okay, I was passing by and saw you getting drenched in the rain"

" thanks a lot , the lock isn't working and I'm unable to contact the servent"

" Shall I jump the gate, ouh wait you can use my mobile"

Roshni tried calling her servant ,after several tries she finally spoke to the servant who came rushing out opening the door.
Roshni noticed how Surya actually got drenched trying to help her, she invited him in for coffee and he shook his​ head walking in, she went  to get towels for them and the servant went to make coffee, Surya walked to the shelf under the staircase with yellow lights and a very comfortable looking divan chair , the place looked quite private and cozy for book reading, he admired the idea of utilising this space beautifully , he took a book from the shelf and turned around when he suddenly clashed with Roshni who was holding a towel, he clutched her shoulder to straighten herself . Roshni was startled by colliding with Surya that she nearly missed a step but his grip on her shoulder made her stand at her feet. Surya slowly removed his hands , the droplets of water on her face and nape shone like gold ,he wanted to touch it
Roshni said " sorry" , she could see the longing in his dreamy black eyes
" Roshni I-" he gulped
Surya's hands cupped her face as he gently moved his hand further , running his fingers​ through her soft velvety black hair. His touch made her shiver giving her the warmth for the rain.He leaned closer, closing in on the space his forehead touching hers . His eyes trying to read her mind , he wanted her to tell him she's with him just a gesture and he wouldn't​ hold back, Roshni took a deep breath and moved closer, they were inches apart , she closed her eyes. He felt her raspy breath , his lips started closing in on hers , their lips were just an inch apart when suddenly somebody cried
" Daughter in law , we're back"
Startling both of them​ and forcing Roshni's​ eyes wide open, making Surya fall back on the shelf pulling down a few books
