Leaving

After seeing that, all I wanted to do was cry. Mario promised he would never hurt me... I feel like nobody is right for me. Why can't I just be happy?

"Ah!" My thoughts were interrupted when I tripped.

Zach was the nearest to me, "Ariel?! Are you okay?!" His hand ran under my eye, his thumb was black from the makeup that melted down my face.

"I'm fine." I smiled.

He rolled his eyes. "You can't say your fine when your makeup is running, Ariel I know how much you like you makeup and I know you wouldn't leave it dripping like this." He pulled me into an empty hallway.

"Zach I can't do this anymore." I cried.

"Do what?" His hand interlocked with mine. "Seriously, Ariel... You need to talk to me. I'm not going to let what happened last time, happen again."

"Mario cheated. Like you did. But worse." I exhaled.

His hand tightened on mine. "Ariel. I know I did wrong. And I'm so sorry, I just... we were so distant and I needed someone to actually show me love. Wha- what did he do."

"He had sex with his ex. Yeah you know her kinda well... I walked in on it." I laughed. "Kinda like I walked in on you."

"We weren't together when I messed with her." He sighed.

I let go of his hand. "That doesn't make it any better." I stood up. "I'm leaving."

"What?!" He exclaimed.

"I'm leaving." A tear fell down my cheek. "I'm done. I'm so done with all of this." I looked over to my left. "And I'm especially done with you." I pointed up.

Mario stood there with hickeys all over his neck, his hair was a mess and he was panting. "Babe I was looking everywhere for you!"

"Don't call me babe. I'm done. We're done." I shrugged knowing those words have been spoken one to many times.

"Wait, no, I... I just-"

Zach butted in. "You just what?! What man? Huh?"

"You can't say anything, you did the exact same thing." Mario scolded him.

"You both can't say anything.. this isn't my battle to fight anymore." My voice cracked, "You know what?! For a second I wanted to be with Zach again but I don't even want to see either of you again! Stay the hell out of my life."

I walked off feeling so much pain in my heart. It felt shattered. How could so much happen in such little time?
