The sun shone through the canopy of leaves above me, casting greens and yellows on the forest floor. My vibrant blonde hair blows over my shoulder in the light late summer breeze.
These are one of those days where I sit or lie against a tree, going through my thoughts or mediate, wondering of the future ahead. On other days, I would roam around the woods and villages for supplies and food, greeting others along my small treks. The trees of the forests are my home and I care for them, though I don't dare go close to the thick, dark woods of Mirkwood. I sense such evil amongst those woods with the Great Spiders that lure around. No troubles ever really bother these woods, but there has been tension in the air, as if something evil is going to happen, though I am prepared.I keep my bow, arrows, and daggers in the trunks of the trees hidden from any normal human's eyesight.
As if the forest had read my mind about the dangers, the sun is covered by dark clouds and a flash of lightning followed by a roll of thunder that shakes the earth. I look into the distance to see if I could find anything strange, but there were clusters of trees that blocked my sight. I am uncertain how I inherited the gift of great eyesight. I can see great distances, almost abnormally far, though I believe that is only because of how I am indeed an elf.
I stand there for a couple minutes, the light rain turning into a downpour. The rain falls gently onto my skin, and I embrace it with a half smile, letting it drip off my chin. Everything seems normal, until an arrow flies passed my head. Then another. I step back a few paces, and I slump my shoulders as a whole ass army of orcs come crashing through the trees. I have no time to get my weapons, so I run.
I could barely see through the rain hitting my face, the feeling like needles penetrating my face. The rain seems to get lighter and I assume that I have round up in the borders of the thick woods of Eryn Lasgalen.
Twisted roots and trees are everywhere, peaking above the soil, beckoning to trip me, though I move with ease. Great webs of spiders' silk hangs above me.
Branches are hitting my face, making blood drip onto my shoulder, my face stinging from the impact. As I move deeper, the trail gets harder to maneuver in. The bastard of spiders decided to create webs on the surface as well, and no matter how hard I try not to, I keep getting stuck in webs. The sticky residue pulls at my hair and clothes, stalling my running pace. The orcs keep following me, which is why I keep running until a spider blocks my path. Dammit.
It clicked a couple of times, and charged at me. I was able to dodge its blow with ease, lightly stepping onto a low tree branch, but another spider caught me off guard. It puts its stinger into my forearm and I gasp as it imbeds into my flesh. My whole arm goes numb, and then I start getting into a deep sleep. Everything tilts and swirls, my eyes becoming heavier and heavier.
I forced the drowsiness away and I keep running into the other direction. More branches hit my face, and I taste blood. I saw someone in the distance, but when I yelled for help, but no words escaped my lips.
An orcs behind me were getting closer. My body refuses to hold any sort of balance, so I fall, hitting the sticky and mud covered ground. I could go no further.
A/N: What did you guys think? I'm sorry this is so short. I wrote it on another device and on there it seemed longer, so bare with me here. This is probably my best FanFiction. The other one I wrote a long time ago when I was an inexperienced writer, and I need to fix a lot of mistakes. If you want to check it out, go for it! It's "Two Worlds"
Thanks for reading and I hope you liked it. Please leave a vote or comment; I would really appreciate it! : ) The next update will be out soon! I would like to thank hannahco03 hannahquartz for helping me edit!
