All was silent as we ran forward the limp body of Frodo. Pippin was beside me, and he looked like he was in tears. I put my hand on his shoulder encouragingly, trying to make him feel better. He looked up, his face red with emotion.
Aragorn rushed to Frodo's aid, and flipped Frodo over so that his back was touching the ground, and not his face.
A smile fell upon my face when I saw his eyes flutter open. Everyone was surprised to see him alive.
"It's okay, I'm alright." He said catching his breath. The fellowship stared in relief and curiosity.
"How are you—" I had no words for this matter. He was alive, but how? I was definitely relived...it's just...how is this possible..?
He pulled down his shirt enough that we could see something shining.
"Mithril." Gandalf said
"You are filled with many surprises Master Baggins." Gimli chuckled.
Then it happened again. It was coming nearer, and it was mad. There was a loud growl that made my head hurt. Gandalf noticed and took action.
"How close is it?" He asked immediately.
"Too close." I said while holding my head...it was giving me a headache. I don't want this wretched power.
"To the bridge of Khazad-Dum! Hurry!" Gandalf yells to us. We quickly exit the room and back into the great halls. As we were running, Goblins and Orcs were appearing everywhere. I looked up and saw that they were coming out of the ceiling.
"Legolas..." I ran closer to him. I w a beyond afraid. I have never seen so many orcs and goblins in my life.
"Stay close to me." He said and he grabbed my arm for me to run faster. All of my energy was draining quickly, and I could feel the fever rising.
Orcs were in front of us. We stopped and started to turn the other way, but we were surrounded.
Aragorn, Legolas, Gandalf, Gimli, Boromir and I made sure the Hobbits were protected. We formed a circle aroubd them and drew our weapons. The horrible creatures snarled and spat at us.
I aimed an arrow and was about to shoot, when there was a loud boom. And it came again. It sounded like it was coming from down the hall.
"Do you hear that?" I asked Gimli who was beside me.
"Of corse I can! Not all of us dwarves are deaf you know!" I nodded, satisfied by his answer.
So, it wasn't coming from my head. Another crash made my heart beat accelerate.
I looked over at Legolas and I was shocked to see that he was more afraid than me. His eyes showed it all.
"It isnt the noise thats scaring me, but the fact that all the orcs are fleeing." He said to what seems like himself and me.
I looked at the orcs in front of us, and my stomach turned when I saw that he was right. The goblins and orcs were running for their lives, as if whatever was to come was as bad as Sauron.
A firey glow comes from the other end of the hall, and the noise was getting louder.
We all stop and stare at it with fear.
"What is this new dilivry?" Boromir asks Gandalf quietly.
"A Balrog. A demon of the Ancient World. This foe is beyond any of you." Without hesitation, he turned to us and said what I thought was wise.
"Run!" I wouldnt have agreed more.
We ran out of the hall. I made sure the Hobbits came, and then I followed. We ran through a small stone door, which led to a staircase.
