Auli'i's POV
It was 2am and I couldn't sleep so I walked out on to the balcony where I saw the most beautiful flowers "hibiscus" I whisper to myself "my mothers favorite" I continue to whisper as I sat down in one of the rocking chairs. Flowers meant so much to my mother we used to sit on the balcony at home with flowers and just sing.

As I wrapped up my small song I hear a light clapping "Oh Simone...hi" I say "your voice, it's beautiful why didn't you tell us you could sing" Simone said "I didn't think it mattered" I responded "What does the song translate too" She asked "Well translated the lyrics are Farewell to thee, farewell to the, The charming one who dwells among the bowers One fond embrace Before I now depart
Until we meet again" I explained to her "Who wrote it" Simone asked "Well the queen...the last queen of Hawaii she wrote it...it was mine and my moms favorite song....I miss her" I say and Simone just paused "I miss my mom as well, but she's dead at least you can still go see yours" Simone responded and I just couldn't hold back my tears anymore "no....I can't" I said as I started crying more "why not is she dead" Simone asked pulling me in for a hug "honestly I don't know...no one does I woke up one morning and she was gone and no ones seen her and it's not a big island so I think someone took her" I said trying to keep it together "Oh my gosh and that's why you're here in Atlanta...how did you find Jahil" Simone responded "Well I always knew his name and what he looked like and I found his Facebook and I used my moms card to get a one way ticket to Atlanta then once I got here I just asked around and finally found him" I responded "oh my gosh that's horrible" Simone said pulling me in for a hug "I should've called my dad first because I don't think he wants me here or doesn't want me in general" I say crying again "no of course he wants you here he probably doesn't have room for you in his house" She says back "thank you for being so nice to me"I reply and we just sat there and hugged until we fell asleep.
The next morning I woke up back in Cotton's bed and I went into the bathroom and got myself together and went downstairs "Good morning Lili...or should I say good afternoon" Ms. Carlotta said "what time is it" Auli'i replied "3:30" Miss Bruce said "I'm going to the studio to see my dad" I said as I walked out"
End of Auli'i POV
At the studio the girls were rehearsing and Jahil was stuck on his computer "Ok Jahil how can you judge our performance if your not even watching" Alex stopped the music and asked "Take 5 I have some important things to handle" Jahil said back "what's more important than Atlanta next fest" Star asked "I need to contact Auli'i's mom I need to know why she all of a sudden sent her and why now I've been busy I don't have time to deal with some child" Jahil said "Wow" Auli'i said as she was standing in the doorway and heard everything he said "I'm sorry I didn't mean it" Jahil said trying to make her feel better "Yes you did you don't have to lie" Auli'i yelled "Well I just want to understand what's wrong with your mother that she sent you and didn't give me any notice" Jahil yelled back to her and Auli'i just started crying "She didn't send me, I sent myself because I...I didn't want to be an orphan"Auli'i managed to say through tears "What do you mean be an orphan" Jahil responded "My moms gone missing and I'm pretty sure she's dead and I'm sorry that I came here and ruined your life" Auli'i said as she walked out of the studio
