Song of chapter - Cheerleader by Omi
Cheerleading is not only a sport but also a lifestyle. Rain or shine, win or lose, I'll always be there to cheer for you.
Being a whore and being the blonde cheer captain are two different things that a lot of people mix up.
So to make it crystal clear, a whore is a prostitute and I'm pretty sure none of their fucking boyfriends paid me. They wanted to have me and I nicely declined and then they run off to you to say that I seduced them. Like.... What the actual fuck. The rumors that circulate the halls every day disgust me. Because I'm blonde and pretty doesn't mean I stole your boyfriend. Don't make me the reason he dumped you or didn't pick your call.
I'm being stereotyped because I happen to have ocean blue eyes, blonde hair and because I like wearing short skirts have you know it's because I like to feel good about myself and not because I want to impress some guy.... The fact that your boyfriend happens to drool when I walk by is just a plus to this whole stereotype.
I take my bag from my locker and head to the gym to change into my sports wear and I strut when I see the girls. You just gotta let them know that you're the boss. You gotta be the boss.
I head to the locker room to get changed and I take my bottle of water out back with me. My bestie..... Well no one's really your friend when you're popular so my can you say... Best acquaintance approaches me straightening her top.
"Steph hey. You showed up late today. What's up? " her eyes shine in hopes of getting some good gossip.
" Just had business to take care off. " I smirk at her. I like being a mystery.
" I bet that business had something to do with Seth Sterling. " I hear a tiny girl at the side say to a brunette.
Well practice is gonna be hell today then cause I'm already in a bad mood.
" Okay. Take your places. " I shout.
I turn on the music.
" Jessica less teeth more hips. "
" Anna you call that a cart wheel. " I snap.
" Kiki lose some weight. More water less sugar. "
" Vita give me more sass. You're a cheerleader for Pit's sake. "
I'm not even sure I'm getting their names right. How did Vita get to my brain maybe she's a Vivian.
An hour goes by...
" Okay stop and take five. " they all cheer. Now that's the spirit.
I walk to the mattress at the corner where I dropped my bottle to have some more water.
" Hey Steph don't you think you're pushing us too hard. " Addy the bestie complains.
" No. " I'm really to the point.
" Well.... The girls think...
"Honestly Addy I don't care what the girls think. Sure they have their opinions, but I have mine as well. " I take another gulp.
" Yeah but the game is a week away don't you think...
"Five minutes is long gone. But it's never a crime to be fashionably late. Back to your places and if you know you want to go home then you better untwist your thongs and cheering. " I shouted ignoring Addy she's my best friend and Co captain but when I'm angry I'm bitchy.
They seem happier than before or maybe they don't want more trouble so their moves get better.
Thirty minutes later Seth Sterling walks in and all the girls go all googley eyed.
" Hey. Less drooling more moving. " I snap and give them a warning look. They're stepping into my territory.
" Hey baby. " he give me a short but hungry kiss which I return with a soft one.
" Hey. I'm sweaty." I take a step back.
"Hot. " he comments.
" So You're back from practice early. " I tell him looking up at him.
" Yeah. I just wanted to see you. My place? " he suggests with smirk.
" Why not." I grin. "Okay that's a rap. We'll continue tomorrow." I say to the girls who sigh.
I head to the locker room to change back to my clothes and I spray on a perfume and reapply my makeup.
When I walk out I'm not shocked to see Seth talking to another girl in our grade who's in the dance team and she's obviously flirting with the way she flips her hair every once in five seconds, she laughs at everything joke coming out of his mouth and don't forget the batting of the lashes.
When I approach I tug on his arm and he looks at me forgetting she was ever there. He puts his hand around my waist and we walk out of the gym.
So how come the mean blondes always lose. Look at Regina George, Sharpay Evans well there's something different about me and it's that my story is very different from the others. I don't get knocked down by the good girl but I don't win either.
But there's something all mean girls have in common which is that we don't go down without a fight.
