My heart beats in eight counts.

~

Saturday rolled around quickly as Friday was a blur. Seth calmed down and I didn't see him with any other girls but then I began to think it was quite unfair of me. I had a date and I didn't want him to have other girls to toy with. We we're both going against our stereotypes. In every highschool movie, well most the bad boy falls for the good girl and the blonde cheerleader or queen bitch ends up alone in an all girls school or alone. She's always the antagonist.

I beg to differ. The only good girls I've seen are fat ass and bleached hair honestly? No competition.

I'm taking Nathan to the party that Addy is throwing. I'm sure he's never been to a party thrown by a royal before and I'm pretty sure it'll be either a night without drinking, he being responsible and all or it'll be a night of drugs, drinks and stripping on tables - a guy from the gang did that at one of the parties.

Val is in my room right now throwing my clothes out of my wardrobe. She likes the idea of forbidden love too. That was the conclusion she and Addy made of our relationship - a nerd and a cheerleader. She ended up picking something from the pile on the floor that I had never worn because I didn't have the right occasion. It looks a lot like what Cher wore to that party in clueless. That red dress

I put it on and checked the time and I saw that I still had thirty minutes left so I put on little makeup by little I mean just some concealer and lip gloss - mom says I have natural beauty that she's jealous of.

I paired the out fit with my heels and prayed for the life of me that Nathan will be taller or at least my height with these heels.

I walked down the stairs instead of running when I went into the kitchen mom was there eating Chinese.

"Going out? " She asks twirling herself on the stool.

" Yeah. Addy's having a party. Her parents are out for the week. "

"With Seth?" Mom's met Seth a number of times, when he comes over and leaves in the morning. She's bumped into him in the mornings.

" No. I met someone, Nathan. " her ocean blue eyes light up and she jumps off the stool and comes close to me waiting for gossip she's like a school girl - The perfect blonde cheerleader with the blonde hair the charisma, the heels, the walk, she's not a bimbo though and she has those deep blue eyes that I don't have. I got my eyes from gran they're green, my eyes are. Mom said that's the only ugly thing about my face but aunt Ada begged to differ. She has the green eyes too and admires it.

"So when am I meeting this someone. " she asks.

" Um... This is our first date mom, we're not getting married. "

" Yet." Val adds into the conversation as she enters the kitchen with a bag of chips in her hand.

I groan. They always do this. My first date was with Tommy Kingston in sixth grade and they were already fan- girling when I told them I liked him. My second date was also with Tommy, then they were positive that we were getting married that is until he moved to Hong Kong - all the way to the other side of the world. And believe it or not this is my third date.

After Tommy moved I lost interest in boys and my elder sister Gwen felt that I was experimenting with other girls or my body what she didn't know was that it still hurt. Then Seth came along and I started doing research on how to kiss a guy, how to seduce a guy and what not. That was when we became friends with benefits.

"Val, you'll just jinx it up like y'all did with Tommy. " Yes I still believe that they jinxed it.

" Oh. He's perfect with dark hair and blue eyes..... " Mom's eyes lit up when she heard blue eyes she's a sucker for blue eyes but no one's can compare to Seth's.
