I don't know how long we walked for but by the time we reached the territory boarders I was completely numb from head to toe, my ears ached from the cool air and my jaw ached from the chattering of my teeth.

I stopped in my tracks as we reached the northern boarder, there were cars parked all along the boarder. About 50 cars all parked in a line along the boarder edge sat on the dirt track covered in a thick layer of snow. They drove to the boarder than walked the rest of the way, probably trying to make themselves look tougher towards my pack by entering on foot. At this thought a small chuckle escaped my lips, turning to Grey and Ezra I raised an eyebrow.

"Way to make an entrance" I laughed once more, these wolves weren't as tough as they seemed.

"Its a four hour drive from our pack houses, running would have wasted time, time that you didn't have" I was a little taken back by his response, how big was their territory?

Grey pulled a pair of keys out of his back pocket and began walking along the line of cars, I followed closely behind. He stopped when we reached a black land cruiser, unlocking the car he held the door open for me as I climbed into the passenger seat.

Grey climbed into the drivers side and started the engine, I let out a long sigh when the warm air hit my skin instantly relaxing my aching muscles. We began to drive off and I looked in the reflection of the mirror, watching the giants and their snow covered needles slowly disappearing out of sight. Remembering the beauty of the Giants in my mind as I don't know when I will see them again, if I see them again.

The ride is silent for the first hour, I spend my time watching the change of scenery. The trees are smaller here in the true North but the forests are more compact and higher in the number of trees. The roads are slippery as the snow is becoming thicker, the landscape here is plain compared to the valley. Plain.

"Just you wait" Greys voice startles me

"What?" I question

"You said that is 'plain'. Wait til you see our mountains Lena, you'll never see anything more pleasing to the eye"

Shit, I was thinking out loud

For the next hour and a half Grey points out all the landmarks telling me what type of flora and fauna inhabit the different areas, I wasnt really listening but I could hear how much this land meant to him. So much pride carried in his voice, you can tell how dedicated he is to the land and his pack.

As we drive further into the territory the sun begins its descend making way for the moon, the trees are becoming larger as we drive, still nowhere near the size of the Giants.

Laying my head back against the head rest I close my eyes, with one long sigh I give into my tired state. Slowly fading into darkness.

*****

"Lena" a voice whispers and I feel my arm being shaken.

"Mmm?" I cant seem to formulate words in my sleepy state, the shaking of my arm continues until my eyes open.

"We're here" Grey says as he gets out of the car, I stay seated as he walks around the front of the car and opens the door for me.

I step out into the snow and my teeth are chattering, I feel like my teeth are going to snap with the amount of force they collide eachother with. I wrap my arms around myself as the wind scrapes against my skin.

Freezing.

The valley was nothing compared to how cold it is out here. The sun has set now and the only source of light comes from within the large house in the distance, that must be the pack house.
