Levi's POV, Noon

"Are you sure this is for the little kitten?"

"Why would I be lying Hanji?"

"I'm just saying Levi, it could be for a different (F/N)."

"Then explain how she's all covered in sand."

"Ok ok. You have a point!" Hanji raised her hands in defeat. Ever since my little chest discovery, (F/N) has been all over the damn box. I can't seem to pry her tiny paws off that thing, so I let her play around with what's inside.

Hanji had already pick locked it.

Eren is here, trying to see what's all inside without a kitten messing up the papers by scratching at it. She seems to know what's there because some items she won't touch. For example, there was an envelope with her name written on it. She didn't even brush her tail up against it.

That smart-ass cat avoided it altogether.

"Hey Levi, read that letter you have there." Hanji snaps me back to reality as I slowly but neatly open the nicely closed envelope. I reveal its contents before clearing my throat to read what's written.

"To who it may concern,

If you are reading this letter, it means that you found our beloved daughter's time capsule. Her name was (F/N) (L/N), an eight-year-old who died from cancer long ago-"

"MEW!" I looked at my cat who's sitting in the box and staring back with curious and wondrous eyes. I only rolled mine and continued.

"But to be honest, it wasn't cancer that killed my child. It was an experiment conceived by the government to know how humans and animals get along. Eight years ago, (F/N) and I was taken to a lab in a facility unknown to man. And within this place, is a horrifying truth. They started turning people into domesticated animals-"

"WHAT?!"

"Hanji, shut up." I smacked her in the head and went on.

"Yes, as crazy as it sounds, it's the truth. The cold hard truth. My darling child was turned into an animal, but not just any animal: A cat. She loved cats to death and had always wanted one. But, her mother was allergic to the dander cats give off, so we ended up with a dog. Getting back on track now, when (F/N) was transformed, I couldn't believe my eyes. They gave me no warning as to what would happen to her. I couldn't sue anyone, and as a result, my dear little girl died a white domesticated house cat." I look at (F/N), who is now in my lap, taking a nap. I could only smile as Eren carefully strokes her fur.

"If you ever find such a cat, I'm Edward (L/N), and I live at the Rose Apartment Complex. Bottom floor, room number A32. . . ." Right then, it hit me.

"Levi?"

"That's-"

"M-Mr. Levi?"

"You do live at Rose right?" Hanji asks.

I blinked a couple of times. "Hanji, A32 is my apartment number."

"But how? This happened eight years ago!"

"Yeah. . . And according to this letter, My cat IS his supposed dead daughter, who found her way back home, only to find a stranger living there instead."
