Case is a high school student. He is a senior this year and it is almost time to graduate. He loves baseball. He does very well in as well.
If he keeps it up he will have a full RIDE scholarship. Another passion of his is music. Not many of his friends know that he plays music. He is a jock so of course why would he tell his friends.
His girlfriend Bianca is a cheerleader. She has been known to be a hoe. He knows of her bad reputation as well that she has cheated on him before. He keeps her around so he has a fuck buddy.
He hears of the contest to be in Twenty Øne Piløts. He is a bit skeptical because he is a jock and doesn't want to be judged for his musical interest. He gets the courage and finally decides to do the contest in secret. He takes off of school for the next too weeks. That leaves everyone wondering where he is.
(The setting takes places in 2018. Case is 18 years old. He lives alone in his apartment. Some of the story is from his point if view and in others it is told by the narrator.)
