I was quite nervous through the ceremony. Award after award was given. I sat there in awe. Melanies performance was even entertaining to watch. I was moments away from going on stage, that is, if Tyler and Josh won their award. It was a commercial break, everyone was preparing to get ready for the best band award. Melanie was making her way back to her seat.
She had a bright orange drink in her hand. It looked slightly refreshing. She looks at me as she is almost to her seat. She then tips her drink one me. "Oops, i'm so sorry. I'm a cluts. I tripped over my own heals." I just stare up at her. Joshs mouth is open in shock. Tyler just looks angry. She acts like she is sorry, but I know she's not. "Look, just let it go, it was an accident." Says Josh. Tyler looks away and sits with anger. Josh tries to turn me around but I see her smirk.
We are notified that we are off commercial. Ryan Reynolds and Brandon Urie come out to announce the best band. They tell some jokes. Most about how Panic wasn't in the nominees. Then, the nominees were announced. First was Fifth Harmony, the next was 5 Seconds of Summer, followed by Twenty One Pilots, lastly was a K-pop group called BTS.
Ryan announces the winner. "Twenty Øne Pilots!!!!" The crowed goes crazy. I hurry up and run backstage so I can get clean and no one would see me. As I make my way through the long halls Shawn stops me. I hear the crowed cheering as their speech just begins. Shawn grabs his phone and says "This will look good on insta!" He runs after he takes the pictures. I chase him, but I am not fast enough. The cheering begins again. The speech must have ended. We are up to perform soon.
