"We're not done." Harry mumbles, the second the doors to the lift close, enclosing just the two of us in.
"You know what, I barely know you and you're right. You have your contract and I have my over protective friend, Niall. Besides, I'm not typically the girl who just gets with anyone, anyways." I shrug. He stays silent for a few moments and I glance up at the little mirror in the corner to see him staring at me from behind. I shift over a little, a feeling of uneasiness kicking in.
I've never felt so attracted to someone, despite the several boyfriends that I have had in the past. Even then, I never really did anything with them until we started dating. I'm literally the kind of girl that doesn't just get with someone. So just kissing him back earlier was so unlike me. Plus his points earlier are valid. He can't break a contract and Niall would murder the two of us.
"You could get to know me." he whispers, breath down my neck. Goosebumps prick my skin as I realize how close he is to me now from behind. "I mean, we could always keep it a secret."
The lift dings and he steps back away from me, just as the doors open. We are immediately greeted by Niall and Zayn examining the vending machine in front of the lift. The smell of chlorine hits my nose and I hear a splash to the left.
"It's about damn time!" Niall mutters after glancing up at us. I smile softly, stepping out of the lift and looking at the vending machine with them.
"Bugger ate my bill." Zayn grumbles, agitation on his face. He grabs both sides of the machine and starts to shake it, causing me and Niall to chuckle. I glance over to see Harry walking towards the pool, turning my head just as it looks like he's turning his.
"Come here!" Niall grabs onto my arm, dragging me away from the frustrated boy band member. "You need to check this out."
I glance over quickly at the pool area, looking away quickly when I see that he is looking at me. Niall opens a door that leads out to a small little balcony, and the stunning view that I saw last night with Harry. The dark sky is speckled with pretty little dots, showing more stars than I've ever seen when in Ireland.
"Don't you wish you travel lots, like me, just to see stuff like this?" he asks softly, staring up at the sky. I lean against the railing, gazing at the stars myself.
"Maybe I will one day!" I laugh softly, slightly envious that he can do this. "If it weren't for it being summer vacation, I wouldn't be here."
"Oh yes, little miss artiste." he nudges me softly in the arm. He takes a seat on the only pool chair on the balcony, and I plump down on the edge with him. "Your dad did not like the idea too much when he found out you were going to school for that."
"Yeah, but he accepted it. As long as I make a career out of it, he's okay with it." I shrug, leaning against his shoulder. "And you aren't helping me either! I want to make my artwork known, on my own." I remind him, probably for the hundredth time.
"You pushed me to go on XFactor-"
"You pushed me to go to art school. You don't need to help me anymore than that. You just better make sure you attend my art shows. That's all you need to do." I give him a pleading smile, and he rolls his eyes with a hint of amusement. He hates not being able to help me, but I'm not one to mooch off of someone's own success.
"You know I will." he reassures me. We both fall into silence, and I stare up at the sky again. My mind runs back to the day that I tried getting him to go onto XFactor. He was always obsessed with singing and playing his guitar. I always loved that. He wanted to be known, but he was scared at the same time. With the help of his mum, we got him to audition.
