       America's POV

Well, maybe Maxon is a little romantic.

At that thought, I giggled.

Maxon stared at me. "So, what's so funny?"

I stuck out my tongue. "Walking here so early. And with you."

Maxon let out a loud laugh. "Really? "

I nodded. "Weird. Not that weird but weird enough."

He shrugged. He looked bothered.

"What?"

I sigh. "I said; You're weird!"

Maxon laughs. "I am. I suppose so."

"So? Anything up?" I stuck to my ground.

Maxon fidgeted. "No...I mean yes, but...."

"Yes? Tell me." I prompt.

"I will. Calm down. But..."

I frown.

"So? This is it? Buts and all? Is that what I'm here for?" I hissed.

"America!" He grabbed my hand.

I took his arm. "Sorry. Time's running out. We better go."

"But.."  He protest.

I roll my eye. "Please Maxon. I need to get dressed properly. Haven't you remembered? Today's Kriss's first day being herself. My maids are waiting anyways. "

"Stay." He insisted.

"I can't."

"Let's stay and talk."

"Fine. Talk to yourself. I need to go." I said impatiently.

Maxon sighs despretely.

"Bye." I finally said. I twirl around and headed in.

Maxon called after me. "What about this afternoon?"

I paused. "Kriss and I are going to play. Besides, you don't have time. You're the Prince."

"Tonight?"

"Time." I reminded him.

"Then when?"

"You don't have a lot of time, you're a Prince." I argue.

"But I have time now!"

"Still!"

I knew I made excuses. I didn't plan anything with Kriss actually. I knew I'm lying.

"America, I thought you said in your eyes, I was more than a Prince. I wasn't even a Prince! "

I froze. And I ran. I don't want to find out.

"America! Tonight! Please!"
