John smiled and Mitch took deep breaths tears running down his cheeks.

Scott started to move slightly and his eyes slowly opened. His eyes widened when he saw Mitch and he sat up before being pulled back by his cuffs.

"No! I said don't-" his face fell and he stared at them his heart breaking, "you didn't!" John laughed wickedly.

"You bet I did! You're not the only lucky one!" He said and Scott's face contorted with anger. Scott yanked against the restraints but it wouldn't budge.

Scott tried to make his hands smaller so that he could pull them through but he couldn't without ripping off the top of his skin. So that's what he did. He screamed in pain as the cuffs scraped off some of his skin but it worked his hand slipped through.

John stepped closer to see if his eyes were deceiving him. Scott turned around and ran at John full force. The crashed through the old wooden railing. Scott pinned him to the stairs and punched him with all his strength over and over again.

John smiled blood in his teeth, "Do it. Kill me." He whispered and Scott looked at him confused with his fist still raised.

Scott glanced at his other hand with the cuffs dangling from it. He searched Johns pockets until he found the small key. He unlocked his wrist and clamped it tightly on Johns wrist before taking the other one. He hooked it to a near by pipe and fell back taking a deep breath.

"Kill me! KILL ME! KILL ME!" John started screaming and Scott just backed away until he reached Mitch. He took the gag out of his mouth and undid the cuffs. Mitch fell into him and hugged him tightly.

"He didn't do it. I promise." He whispered and Scott looked at him confused before handing Mitch his clothes. As Mitch put them back on he explained what happened while Scott was asleep.

Scott stayed silent and put his arm around Mitch as he led him out of that horrid basement. "I hope you can't live with yourself, Scott you let him get hurt." John said as they approached the door.

Scott gritted his teeth and opened the door choosing to ignore him. He already knew what he said was true and he didn't need to give John the satisfaction.

They walked through the house and Mitch found a phone. He dialed 911 and they walked outside to give them their address.

They sat outside waiting on the curb waiting for the police, not wanting to be inside the awful house. Scott wrapped his arm around Mitch bringing him to his chest no matter how his body ached to do so.

Scott and Mitch were silent just shivering in the cold when the police pulled up. Scott's eyes started to get heavy but he tried to stay up for Mitch.

The policemen got out of their cars quickly, their guns drawn. "Where is he?" One asked and Mitch pointed to the house.

"T-the basement. Scott handcuffed him to a pipe down there." The two Policemen split up so that one waited outside with them.

"An ambulance is coming soon." The officer informed them and Mitch thanked him. As the ambulance pulled up Scott and Mitch started to stand up.

Scott struggled but got there when he heard the officer run out of the house shouting, "He wasn't in there!"

Scott looked around frantically and saw the wicked smile through the dark, from the side of the house holding up a gun in their direction. Scott shoved Mitch to the ground and stepped forward.

The loud gun shot pierced Mitch's ears. The first followed with two after and Mitch looked up in time to see Scott fall to his knees before fully to the ground.
