Fear

     Mitch wasn't going to let that happen to Scott again. He told himself that the next time he came down he would offer himself up. He couldn't watch Scott go through that again.

Mitch shuddered in fear as he heard some footsteps. He looked over at Scott to make sure he was still asleep and sure enough he was.

    John walked down the stairs with a sick grin on his face. He carried a large tub of something. Mitch struggled to read the label that was on the outside of it as John walked past him to Scott.

     Mitch read the letters B... L... E... A... Bleach. "No!" He screamed right as John slowly poured the liquid on Scott's back.

     Scott's eyes snapped open and he screamed loudly as he turned so that his back was pressed against the cement floor. John stopped pouring and pouted.

     "You know I have an idea." John said walking over to the chain and yanked them harshly down so that Scott was yanked up off the ground. Scott groaned loudly and started to cry.

     He was so tired and he didn't know how much more pain he could endure. John pulled something from under the stair case.

     Mitch realized it was a hose and he yanked against his restraints yet again as if they would magically come undone. Scott's face fell when he saw the hose, he was so tired of being played with.

    "Please...please..." Scott begged closing his eyes before he felt the freezing cold water hit his skin. He couldn't figure out if it hurt so bad because he was so badly bruised or if John was setting it that way on purpose.

     John stopped after a moment and chuckled to himself. "This is going to be fun." He said throwing the hose back under the stairs.

     "Take me! Do it to me instead!" Mitch screamed and Scott looked up at him terrified.

     "No! Don't touch him! I can handle it! Please I can handle it!" Scott begged looking at John. John looked back and forth between the two before laughing.

     "You guys think you have a say! That's funny! I haven't been hurting Mitch because I'm saving him for later not because you're asking me to. Oh you stupid stupid boy. Hurting him will hurt you the most that's why I'll save him for last." John smiled and Scott felt sick.

     "Please don't hurt him! Please don't..." Scott started to sob, "I'm sorry... I'm sorry... please! I'm so sorry!" John laughed and punched Scott hard in the gut. Scott coughed and groaned.

     "You think an apology is good enough for my daughter's life!" He yelled through gritted teeth, "I'm going to weaken you down and then kill the most important thing in your life right in front of you. And there will nothing you can do about it." Scott looked at him horrified and started to fight hard against his restraints.

     "Don't touch him!" He screamed and struggled against the restraints. John chuckled and grabbed yet another thing from behind the stairs.

     "Oh trust me... not yet." He said with a smirk on his face. Scott continued to fight and started to sob.

     "Please don't... please..." he sobbed letting his head fall. John stepped up in front of Scott with two jumper cables, the tips covered with some kind of rags.

     "N-no! Ple-" Mitch was cut off by Scott screaming as John touched the tips on his wet skin. Scott jolted and screamed through gritted teeth.

     John stopped for a few seconds that allowed Scott to breath and relax. "Please don't do that again! Ple-" John touched his skin again with the tips.

     Scott groaned as the electricity jolted his body. John stopped after what felt like hours to Scott. Scott couldn't even stand on his two feet. He leaned forward and let the chains feel all of his weight.

     His eyes felt heavy with exhaustion but he tried desperately to stay awake. He knew that if he fell asleep he may not wake up and then he couldn't protect Mitch.

     He feared that when he was asleep that John would take Mitch and switch their spots. Sleep captured him as he thought only awakening slightly when he felt his body hit the ground.

     John must have dropped his chains. He tried to open his eyes but he physically couldn't. He couldn't move anything, everything felt numb to him.
