Week:5, Day: 6

I stood up as my brothers began to stir. “Hello.” I said.

“Do you know where you are?” It asked.

“No,” I said looking around me at the endless white, my brothers slowly stood up beside me.

“Do any of you know where you are?” It tried again, we all shook our heads.

“You’re in purgatory; the waiting room of the afterlife.” It said smiling and gesturing around.

I attempted to smile back, “It looks nice.”

“Thank you,” It said smiling again “Do you know why you are here?”  We shook our heads again.

“Did we die?” Elek asked.

“No, but close. You were chosen because you each gave up on something.” It began walking away, “Follow me.” It said and continued walking, we trailed after it. “A piece of each of you died, the bigger the piece, the bigger the hole I have to fill. “ It sighed and walked over to an invisible door. “You each have a big hole to fill.” It mumbled. “But that is okay, I knew this would happen, so I saved these for you.” It touched the door, and it slid open.

Inside were three weapons, all three were glowing. There was a blue double edge axe, an orange katana and three green ninja stars. I went straight to the Katana, it was not orange, but there seemed to be an orange under glow that flickered gently beneath the surface. I wanted to unsheathe it, “May I touch it?” I asked.

“You may, but it comes at a price.” It said.

“What price?” Blaine asked.

“Each weapon is different. They each have their own soul, and when a human comes in contact with this kind of weapon, the souls merge into one.” It explained. “The weapon and you will be one.”

“That’s the price?” I asked.

The person shook their head, “No, you have to touch it to see the price, but when you touched it, you agree to the price.”

I looked back at the weapon and gently picked it up. Then everything around me went black, all I could see was the weapon. An orange tiger leapt out of the weapon. It bowed at me, and I bowed back then it leapt and went inside of me, circling around my arm were it laid down and resembled something close to a tattoo. It moved and glowed, I could then hear it in my mind. “Human… Nixie” It whispered, “My name is Tipu, I am the weapon you have chosen. You have agreed to the price.”

What is the price?  I thought.

I was just about to voice my thoughts when she spoke. “The price is to let me fill in your loss of hope, in exchange for immortality. You will live for ever with me, but with no voice.” She spoke. “There are side effects.”

   Such as? I thought

“You heard of the humans the gods call the Marked Ones?” She asked. I nodded. “They are people like you. Your price is to live forever with me with no voice; however, like the Marked Ones you will be given gifts. Your Gifts are invisibility, the ability go through any solid matter, and speed. Anything you touch will also turn invisible and will gain the ability to go through objects as well. Your price is higher than most humans since you lost hope in your family, you lost hope in yourself. I will replace that hope. I will become your hope. Have faith in me and we will never fail.”

With that I was back in the white room with my brothers and the person. He is God, Tipu whispered. I stared at God with wide eyes.
