Instead of lying on my bed, I was sitting on a cliff. Seeing the cliff drop so far down, I scooched back so I wouldn't accidentally fall off. (A/n: knowing me, would have fallen off trying to get away from it. T_T)
No longer concerned with falling to my death, I noticed there was a girl sitting next to me staring. (Pic above)
"Hello!" she said in a sweet sing-song voice.
"H-hi?"
"I'm Lily! Nice to finally meet you (Y/n)!"
Wait....Did I tell her my name? Finally? I thought.
"Ummmm...Do I know you?" I asked awkwardly.
"Oh right, we haven't officially met yet!"
"What do you mean officially? Are you like one of those stalkers on TV!" I re-surveyed the petite girl.
She'd definitely get away with murder, I thought.
She gave a small giggle. "Of course not silly! How about I tell you why you're here? Will that make it better?" Lily tilted her head slightly, spilling her hair over her shoulder cutely.
KAWAII! I exclaimed in my head but gave a small nod on the outside. It's funny that a child was trying to comfort me when I was the one who should be looking after her.
"I sent you here so we could play!" Lily exclaimed.
Okay... Yep. Still don't understand, I thought.
"Play?" I asked.
"Yeah! Oh! And I have the perfect game!" I felt worried, a girl I just met wants me to play a game with her, and she tells me she has the "perfect game". If anything, it makes Lily being a stalker not seem so far fetched.
"You know how you love anime so much? Well, I made a game with anime involved!" Lily said.
"Like a new video game or something?"
"No! One where you get to actually go in the anime!" I felt my heart speed up.
Me! Go into an anime! And meet my favorite characters! But how do I know she's telling the truth.... I thought.
"You'll have to see for yourself whether or not it is (Y/n)-chan!" Lily said and gave me a wink. Before I could register what the heck just happened, she continued her explanation. "In this game, you will travel to different anime of my choosing. Your goal is to get a specific character to fall in love with you."
I see, so the characters are chosen for me... Dammit! I thought and frowned.
"Don't worry, I think the characters will be to your liking!" Lily reassured me, somehow reading my thoughts again. I breathed a sigh of relief.
"But there are rules! 1) You cannot kill any of the characters! 2) You cannot tell any of the characters that they don't exist or that you live in another world. 3) In order for you to move on, the character must confess his love to you and be single. No affairs! 4) You are protected from harm, but don't push your luck! The extent of your immortality depends on the anime you're in. 5) The love target cannot be changed while you are in the anime. 6) Have fun! But don't have too much fun, or Lily will be sad!"
"O-Okay," I said, overwhelmed by the constant rush of information.
"One more thing!" Lily exclaimed with a mischievous smile. "Before you go into an anime, I will give you a clue on which one it is!"
"Is there some kind of bonus if I guess it right?" I asked.
"Nope! But it does make things a little more interesting! Now here's the clue:
In the realm where gods and lost souls fight as a team. To destroy phantoms as they please."
Just like how I arrived, I was swallowed up in bright light.
"See you later, (Y/n)-chan!"
"Bye, Lily!" I yelled back. When the light subsided, I was in a whole new world.
