A/n: If you guessed correctly then congratulations!!! Yes, it is Noragami/Aragato. I really do like this anime, and if you haven't seen it, then you are either going to miss a large part of the story or put up with all the possible spoilers in this and some future chapters.
The light soon faded, but my mind continued racing through years of anime binging to find the one that matched Lily's clue. I had watched so many that it was hard to find out which anime it was, but I think I have a good idea what it was.
I didn't have long to take in my surroundings, but apparently, I stood in the middle of a road.
Because I was hit by a freaking truck.
Pain hit me on my abdomen and surrounding areas. My eyesight was splotched with black which would've been concerning had I not felt so dizzy. Through the ringing in my ears, I heard the noise of sirens and frightened murmurs approaching. Someone knelt beside me and told me to stay calm.
Dammit, Lily! I got hit by a freaking truck! Do you want me to die?! For your sake, Lily, this better be an anime where you have to be dead to actually be a part of it. If not, you're going to get a little present from me in the afterlife!
My breathing became too shallow and my heartbeat too slow. Soon everything was black, and I became one with nothingness.
-Lily's POV-
After (Y/n) left, I sat on my cliff in time to watch her die. Sure, it looked painful and the sight was sad, but my plan was going perfectly. You're gonna thank me afterwards, (Y/n)-chan, I thought.
-Yato's POV-
Yukine and I were in a pinch. A phantom had overpowered us, and we were currently trying not to die.
Yukine was not yet at his full potential and wouldn't reach it today considering how he struggled against the oddly powerful phantom's might. We needed another regalia. Just then, a lost soul materialized on the road behind the phantom.
Perfect! But why does it have to be behind the phantom?! I thought exasperatedly.
The phantom launched at us. I sliced through one side of the creature's legs, nearly to the lost soul.
"Spirit, you are lost and adrift. You have nowhere to go and nowhere to return to. Thus, I grant you a place to belong! My name is Yato. Bearing two names, you shall remain here. With these names, I make thee my servant. With these names, I use my life to make thee a regalia fit to be wielded by a god! Come......"
