Once upon a time
I wished upon a star
My wish never came true
I never told my wish
For it shall remain a secret
I continued to wish upon a star
My wish the same each time
But each time I tried
My wish simply never came true
And over time
My faith in wishes
Shrank to nothing
I guess now I shall reveal
My one and only wish
To meet the people
That have saved my life
The people who have
Kept me strong to this point
But I guess wishes
Are only for the fortunate
And anyone who isn't perfect
Will never be payed attention to
As they are seen as unimportant
And fate pays them no mind
So now you know that
Once upon a time
I wished upon a star
And that my wish
Never became a reality
So I have given it up
And now people know the truth
That not all story's
End in happily ever after
