Alex's POV

I was relaxing in a lounge chair at the backyard of my house, sipping my iced tea while reading a book. John was just inside playing with his toys I got him, his favorite is the purple mouse toy. I always glance at him and sometimes I catch him glancing at me, which is pretty adorable. I also noticed I make him feel flurry everyday, I don't even know what I'm doing. (RING!)

It's weird to have feelings with your pet, well Thomas and his cat James started dating each other. I hope he's okay with his owner liking him. I want to give him everything, I want to spoil him.

I looked at my watch. "Shit! I have to meet Jay in the office." I quickly fixed my hair and put on my grey sweater over my white shirt. "What does Jay want?" Herc asked. "He said he wanted me to help him with his essays, but he's paying me." I packed some things in my bag. "How much is he paying you?" Laf asked while playing with John's yarn ball. "Probably like, 5 bucks." I said. "Just 5 bucks?" Herc raised his brow. "Hey I'm not that kind of person." I said. "Anyways while I'm gone, I need you two to take care of John for me, can you do that?" "Yes sir!" Herc and Laf saluted. "Okay." I left.

Third Person POV

Hercules and Lafayette are pretty good with pets but the pet they are going to take care of is half human. "So John, how long are you here with Alex?" Herc asked. "Maybe a week?" he responded. "He took care of me throughout the entire week, he's actually nice to me, he even gave me this collar." Herc and Laf looked at the color. "Navy blue, Alex's favorite color." Laf fiddled with the collar. "I think he likes you." Herc said. "Of course he likes me, I'm his pet." John said in pride. "No no no, that's not the 'like' I meant." "What do you mean?" John asked. "He likes you the way humans like each other." Lafayette explained. John never felt this way before, he never experienced having his owner liking him. This is something new to John, he also has feelings for Alexander. "He likes me?" John asked out loud. "Yes, yes I do." Alex suddenly showed up. "Alex! I thought you were with that Jay guy?" John asked in fear. "I was, when I got there he texted me to cancel." Alex walked in. The room was filled with awkward silence. "Okay, I think Laf and I are going now, come on Laf." Herc pushed Laf outside the door and left. Alex and John were alone. "John..." Alex blurted out. "What?" John asked. "Can I talk to you? In my room." John nodded and followed Alex to his room.
