Third Person POV

John woke up, lying on the couch, half dressed. He sat up, scanning for Alex's presence. He pouted when he knew Alex wasn't the one lying on the couch with him. He picked up some of his clothes from the floor. He noticed his phone notified him that there's a message.

I'll be home soon, I just need to buy you more treats again, we ran out because of you asking me for some very frequently <3

John smiled. "And it was sent 45 minutes ago." he chuckled. The clock was 5:35 pm, almost time for dinner. "Maybe it will be thoughtful for Alex if I cook dinner for us." John thought to himself. The moment he was about to go to the kitchen, Alex came back. "Honey!-" John was stunned by Alex. "Sorry I took so long." Alex slightly smiled. He was holding a sleeping baby in his arms, the baby was about 7 to 8 months. "What's with the baby?" John went towards Alex and looked at the infant. "While I went outside the pet store, I saw a basket placed on a bush. I peeked what's inside and I saw this little cutie." he gently rocked the baby. "He has freckles and dark brown hair...like mine." John widened his eyes. "What a coincidence. God gave us a child that probably looks like us." Alex expressed.

The baby woke up but didn't cried, he saw John and Alex. "He has your eyes Alex." John smiled. "Damn you're right." Alex smiled as well. The baby smiled and giggled. He did grabby hands to the couple. "Dada." he pointed his hands to John. "Papa." he then pointed his hands to Alex. "Dada Papa!" the baby squealed with his baby voice. "That's adorable!" John and Alex both cried out tears of joy. "What will be his name?" John asked, tears still rolling down his cheeks. "Philip!" Alex loudly expressed. "Good idea!" John giggled.

"Philip!" they both gently hugged baby Philip, causing him to giggle. "I was expecting us to adopt a child after we got married but right now? I'm completely okay with it." John stroked Philip's cheeks. "Wait- we don't have baby stuff." John frowned. Alex just laughed. "I have those, I used to babysit some babies back then, especially George's younger children." he said, in a proud way. "I'll set them up, go cook dinner and take care of our new son." Alex rushed upstairs.

John placed Philip on a chair, cushioned with a pillow. John started cooking dinner. While he was cooking, Philip suddenly cried. "Oh no Philip! What's wrong baby?" John paused cooking and immediately went to Philip. "Are you hungry? If so, food is not done yet." he picked up his son and gently bounced him. "Uh...Alex?!" John loudly called out. "What?!" Alex replied from upstairs. "Philip is randomly crying and I don't know what to do." John kept on comforting Philip but still kept on crying. "He's just hungry, there's a baby bottle in the pantry, you can fill it up with some warm milk." Alex answered. "Thanks hon!" John puts down Philip on the chair. He hurriedly prepared the milk, having it lukewarm. "Here you go son." John picked up Philip again and put the bottle in his mouth. Philip finally stopped crying. He fell asleep in John's arms. "Thank goodness." John sighed. He went upstairs. He saw Alex setting up a crib in the bedroom. "Is Philip already allowed to lie in there?" John smiled as he walks in the bedroom. "Wait." Alex fluffled the small pillows. "There, now he's allowed." he nodded. John puts down Philip inside the crib.

John went back downstairs to resume cooking their dinner. Alex waited for Philip to finish his bottle. "You'll be raised well." he caressed his son's head. Philip finished drinking and instantly started his long baby nap. Alex took the empty bottle and went downstairs. He put the bottle in the sink. "Chicken wings?" he sat down on the dining chair next to John. "Yeah, has Philip finally went to sleep?" John started eating. "Yup, he's so adorable when he's sleeping." Alex started eating as well. "What does your experience in babysitting has to say?" John rested his chin on his palm.

"Hmm...it says that we'll have countless nights of Philip randomly crying."

"Well at least we'll enjoy our lives watching Philip grow."

"We'll both get to watch Philip grow." Alex held John's hand. "Do you think he'll be a half cat like me?" John tilted his head. "Maybe his cat ears and tail are just late to grow, but I didn't see his ears forming into a cat one." Alex rubbed his neck. "Well, he'll be perfect just the way he is." John smiled. "He already is." Alex added in. "Wonder why on earth would someone abandon him? He's too adorable and precious to be left alone." John pouted. "Yeah...well at least we're gonna be ones takin' care of the little boy." Alex's mouth curved into a smile.

"Here's a treat for you for being a good boy and being a good father." Alex gave John a treat. "Mmm! Salmon flavored? I love it!" John smiled. "Just the way you like it." Alex hugged his waist. They both went upstairs, while doing so, Philip suddenly started crying. The both of them rushed inside their bedroom. "What's wrong baby?" John picked up crying baby Philip. Alex smelled something foul on Philip. "Let me handle this situation, I've been doing this for a while now." Alex took Philip from John's hands. He set him down on the table. He took off Philip's used diaper and disposed of it. "Oh good Lord." John immediately backed away. "Give me a clean diaper." Alex started cleaning up Philip. John rushed to the cabinet.

"Uh-"

"It's in the very bottom of the cabinet."

John pulled open the bottom drawer. "Aha!" he took out one clean diaper and gave it to Alex. Alex finally changed Philip. "There, now he stopped crying." he picked up Philip and placed him back inside the crib. Philip fell asleep again. "You're right, he is adorable when he's sleeping." John looked at their son. "Yeah." Alex puts his arm on John's shoulders.
