It was the next day and I was on my locker getting out my stuff while everyone was already in their respective classes because I was running late this morning.
"Late night?" a voice said on my right.
"Nah. Just slept in you?" I answered politely closing my locker.
"A little time there, a little time here. So when's our date?" he chirped.
"Right. Whenever you're free, I guess. I'm flexible" I said.
He smirked and said "Good to know"
I looked at him weirdly, lost at his joke. I don't get it.
"Ohhhkay. So uh... Wait I'll just give you my number so you can text me whenever you're free" I said patting my pockets for my phone.
"Sure, here. So now that you didn't deny our little date am I entitled to call you my beau now? Cause I have lots of cute things to call you, Baby cakes" he said handing me his phone.
"Baby cakes? Is that even an endearment?" I thought out loud while entering my number on his phone.
"Sure it is, baby cakes" he said winking.
Before I could I say anything though the late bell rang and I handed him his phone back, said a quick good bye and rushed to my first period.
The classes I've had so far were pretty uneventful and boring. He didn't show up for 2nd period again. Surprise. Surprise. He rarely does anyway. I mean its math. So... I'd be pretty unmotivated to go too.
Right as the bell for lunch rang, I was already standing up and hurriedly walk to the cafeteria. I was so hungry. Having missed breakfast, I was so ready to devour a horse, which was probably why I didn't see the person on my brisk walk.
I closed my eyes expecting an impact but was rather rewarded with a chuckle and a vibrating chest pressed against my own. I quickly averted my eyes towards the person chuckling.
"Do you always walk to lunch bulldozing everyone on your way?" he asked chuckling a little.
"I...uh... I'm hungry?" I said blushing blinking still confused on why I haven't hit the floor.
"Sure you are little one. I would be too if I was your size" he said looking me up and down and smiling.
"What is that supposed to mea-Hey watch were you're-" I started to say completely off character again but was thankfully cut off by a person bumping us on the way and quickly muttered a "sorry".
I didn't even realize we were still embracing in the hallway, I quickly stepped away and said "So...lunch?" to which he just gave an all-white, all teeth dazzling smile. I think I died for a second. What? It was that stunning. And it was the first he gave me. Aside from the occasional chuckles and smirks he sent my way yesterday and earlier this morning.
We made our way to cafeteria and in no time we were lining up for lunch.
"Hey handsome" someone said just as I was about to say something to Andreas.
I turned my head towards the voice and was surprised to be faced with Veronica, our head cheerleader smiling warmly at Andreas to which he just gave her a droll stare. She doesn't usually interact with us unless she has to but I guess with Andreas being technically a jock now, he belongs in the 'it' crowd.
"-uh I was thinking, do you want to sit with us today? " she said still smiling, blinking rapidly as if she has something on her eye but her smile became a little more subdued because of Andreas' reaction.
