"Okay we are already running past our scheduled time. We better leave. Zeke, honey be careful and please do not touch any kitchen appliance while we're gone especially the microwave and the oven. I don't want to be called to the station again for almost burning our house. Love you two" my mom said kissing each our foreheads.
"Bye mom. Bye Dad. Have fun discovering Matt knocked Amanda up" I said mumbling the last part.
"I heard that" my dad said while I gave him my innocent smile.
"Bye ma. Bye Pops" Andreas said saluting my parents while they make their way out of the small restaurant.
We were getting quite the looks since we were biding my parents farewell in the middle of the restaurant.
"You parents. I tell you" Andreas said shaking his head while eating a piece of the cake I ordered.
"Why do you like this? It's too sweet" he asked cringing.
I shrugged and took a piece.
"That's the point doofus. It's supposed to be sweet. How are you even a teenager boy when you don't even like sweets" I answered.
"You know you're all the sweet I need sweet pea" he answered wiping the side of my mouth wide his thumb and licked the icing off it.
My heart fluttered a bit and so did my other organ. Ugh. Please stop. Brain. I can't do this.
"Why are you shaking your head?" Andreas asked me.
"What? I wasn't you looney" I told him laughing nervously.
"Okay...So what do you wanna do this afternoon?" he asked.
"Eh. Sleep?" I answered. I am to be honest really exhausted since I didn't get a wink of sleep last night.
"Okay. But what about me?" he told said pouting.
"Dunno. Don't care" I told him finishing my cake. Yum!
He rolled his eyes at me and said "I know! We can have a movie marathon/Sleep over. Let me just call Danny and tomorrow we can have a party!" He said.
"Sure. Not sure how to host a high school party really but okay" I said wiping my mouth.
"Awesome. Let's go. Well buy chips and soda on the way home for the movie. Oohh. And microwave popcorn. Yum!" he said.
"And pizza but later. I'm stuffed. I'm probably just gonna sleep anyway so don't mind my suggestions" I told him.
"Can you please stop changing the station?" Andreas said annoyed.
"Sorry" I said sheepishly. It's just I kept changing the station everytime I think about my questioning phase and/or Andreas which is every 10 second.
"Damn. What is with you today, huh? You alright boo?" he asked me while turning the engine off.
We made our way towards Walmart and he immediately picked up a basket. "So...What did Danny say?" I asked him.
"Oh. He said sure and asked where" he said after pulling his phone out of his pocket and replied.
"And what did you say to him?" I asked him.
"Your place of course. No parental supervision" he said picking up a few Doritos.
"It's not like your mom is home anyway. It's Friday." I replied picking up some as well.
"She'll be home later. Plus... She'll get a heart attack with all these junk food put some back. I swear it's like you're begging for early death" he said already putting some back.
I pouted doing as he said. "So what's the deal with Sam?" I asked him again since it's been bothering me ever since our last conversation about him
"Nothing" he said moving on to the sodas.
"You gonna date him until your guy realize he's into you? Isn't that kind of leading him on? And not to mention completely cruel? Not that I care but... You're not that mean, are you? And what if the stupid guy doesn't realize it ever? Are you going to put a move on him?" I asked him perplexed at the situation.
"Hmm... What would you do?" he asked me instead.
"I'd obviously break it off with Sam and go for the guy" I told him shrugging.
"Hmm... Sure. That's what I was actually thinking, would that be okay with you?" he said. Of course NOT! You are mine but obviously you don't want me.
"What?" I asked him dumbly instead.
He gestured towards the Pepsi he put in the basket I was holding. Oh. Well...
"Sure. But going back... I don't think you should put moves on the guy yet. Let him figure it out on his own" I said changing my mind. Putting myself first before him. I so don't want to be hurt again. But then again... Maybe it would be his 'The one' and I was interfering his one shot to happily ever after with my petty questioning phase.
"Hmm.... You're probably right" he said picking up a something for himself and Danny.
"On a second thought. Maybe you should just go for him. He could be 'the guy' you have been looking for" I told him sighing after.
"Okay. How do you suppose I do that? If you were the guy, what would you want me to do?" He said making a beeline for the cashiers.
"Uh. I don't know. Be his friend first I think. Are you friends? Wait... Do I know him? Who is he even?" I said turning to him suspiciously.
"Uh... You don't know him. I met him on our way here" he said scratching his neck. Uh huh. Scratching of the neck indicates nervousness and lying. Tsk. Tsk.
"Oh yeah? What's his name?" I challenged his lie.
"I don't know yet. I haven't seen him again. But he's going into that private school on the other side of town" he said putting the basket on the counter.
"Smooth. So when are you going to look for him? Want me to come with you?" I volunteered.
"Nah. Danny knows someone from there who is having a party next Friday after their match" he said.
"That'll be 19.50" the Cashier said fluttering her lashes at Andreas.
He gave her a twenty and grabbed the bags saying "Keep the change" while winking causing the cashier giggled while I rolled my eyes at his antics. Keep the 50 cent change?
His phone rang while he was pulling out of the parking lot. He quickly took it out of his pocket and tossed it to me.
I answered putting it on loud speak. "Hello?"
"Zeke? Where is Jacob? Never mind tell him I'm already at his house and I'm raiding the kitchen. Thanks. By the way congratulations man. I heard you were The Star of the play. Sorry I didn't come, Not my thing little shrimp but I heard it was great!" he said making Andreas roll his eyes.
"Uh huh. It isn't sincere since you weren't there" Andreas said making Danny laugh and said a farewell and hanged up.
