Chapter 5

You woke up the next day again to an empty kitchen. Amber had already left to go to school, so you just went to the fridge, grabbed a water bottle, and headed off to school. The rest of the week passed by really slowly. Classes seem to go on forever and half the time you just ended up watching your classmates. After watching them for awhile you figure out that everyone has these little habits that they do. Some mess with their pencils, other mess with their nails, some just..do some weird things. After the bell rang, you just walk through the hallways to your next class, only going to your locker every now and then to grab a book. You didn't talk to many people, you just kept your head low wanting to get through the day so you could go to the dance room. Every once in a while you would see Kai, sometimes with his budies and sometimes with his girlfriend of the day, still wearing that bland expression. When he would see you he'd give you that little nod that shows that he acknowledges you, and you would simple nod back. It was finally friday and you couldn't be happier.

"YES! It is FRIDAY! Oh my gosh, when have I ever loved the weekend so much?" You yelled as you stretched.

It was lunch time and you and So Young were sitting underneath your favorite tree.

"Every time the weekend comes." So Young stated teasingly.

With your hands still up in the air you glared at her. Your attempt glare didn't really work though seeing as the position you were in so she began to chuckle, and so did you. You guys were eating and having a good time when you saw Kai and his latest girlfriend Suzy making a scene out in the courtyard.

As Suzy's voice grew louder they began to draw a crowd, everyone stopping to see what was going on. 

"Kai, again. I swear that guy has girl problems." So Young whispered disapprovingly, shaking her head.

You didn't really pay much attention to what she was saying though, you just watched the scene that was unfolding in front of everyone.

"What do you mean we are breaking up, we haven't even been going out for 3 days!!" Suzy yelled flailing her arms about.

Kai just simply stood there, his hands in his pocket, shrugging, 

"If I would have know you would have been so clingy I wouldn't have dated you in the first place."

"What did you say!!"She practically screamed her face flaming with anger.

"Your clingy, loud, obnoxious. Look, even now your making a scene."He stated coldly, standing there like he was bored.

"Like I care!!!" She yelled again.

Kai just sighed and turned his back on her, walking away. Suzy just stood there dumbfounded. Looking around she saw that everyone was looking at her. Some with pity looks, others with angry glares, probably from Kai's little fan club, and others who were just plain annoyed. She threw down her sandwich that was in her hand and scoffed. Hitting the ground with her heels she stalked off with her head held high as if she was too good for this school. No one really liked her anyway, she was a total beep you thought shaking your head. 

"Wow, that was..something." Was all you could muster up.

"Geez, that guy goes through girls like tissues." So Young said.

"Maybe its because their all like Suzy." You whispered.

"Meaning?" She asked glancing at you.

"Meaning that maybe if he found the right girl he wouldn't have to go through so many." You stated shrugging.

"It sounds to me like your defending him." She replied.

"Its not like that. It's just, everyone is so quick to blame the guy."You stated.

"I still don't know how you like him enough to call him a friend."She scoffed.

"And I don't understand why you hate him." You snapped back.

"Teddy." She called you by your nickname, which she didn't do very often.

"Sometimes you can be naive you know."She said shaking her head.

"You don't even really know him."You replied childishly.

"And you do?" She asked looking at you.

You did. You knew him a lot better then those other girls did, but you didn't say anything. After lunch you just went back to your classes. At the end of the day you went over to the locker room, changing into sweats and a loose top. While putting on your top you heard two girls come in gossiping,

"Did you see that scene at lunch?"

"The one with Suzy and Kai?"

"Yeah! Geez what a jerk Kai is."

"I was walking through the hall seeing Suzy crying her eyes out."

"Well she isn't much better herself."

"Why does she thinks she better then all of us? Because she's pretty?"

"Who knows who cares."

Tunning out the rest you headed to the dance room. Once you got there you began to stretch. You were on the ground touching your hands to your feet when you heard someone come through the door. Looking up, in the mirror you saw Kai. He was by himself and when he saw you he nodded,

"Hey."

"Hey." You replied softly.

Walking over to his side of the dance room, he took off his jacket. You couldn't help but stare through the mirror as it slowly slid off, revealing his defined shoulders and strong back. 

"Like what you see?" Kai asked seductively breaking you from your haze as you saw him smirking through the mirror.

Shaking your head you went back to stretching,

"I don't know, I don't see much."

He quickly frowned and you bit back laughter. Before he could reply the rest of the guys walked through the door. Sehun and Suho said hello to you and you said hello back, D.O and Baekhyun nodded their heads in greetings, you nodding back. You noticed that Chanyeol wasn't with them so you began to look at the door. Kai saw you staring at the door so he asked teasingly,

"Looking for someone?"

Just then a person walked through the door and instead of looking at the door you were now looking at a chest. Your eyes moved up to the persons face revealing Chanyeol. You smiled and answered Kai saying,

"Not anymore," And Chanyeol just looked back at you not knowing what was going on.

Kai saw how you smiled when seeing ChanYeol, and he didn't know why but it irked him a bit. His anger didn't last long as he shrugged and went back to greeting his buddies. Chanyeol just tipped his head to the side, which was kinda cute in his dorky way you thought, confused. Walking to the guys you stared at the door again. Wait did I just think that Chanyeol's cute? Was he cute? Kinda, in his dorky way, but all the guys are cute. You just shook your head going back to your dancing. After a couple of hours and lots of sweating you went home.

You couldn't wait for the weekend.
