Like every other normal teenager, you slept it. Well you would have slept in if it were not for the loud commotion going on outside of your room. You grunted as you threw back your covers, kicking as you stretched. Throwing your legs over the bed you slowly got up, groggily walking to your door. Flinging the door open you rubbed your eyes, getting the crust out of them. Once you were able to see, you wished you had kept your eyes closed. A bunch of huge paintings covered the walls as they leaned against one another. You looked around wondering where Amber was until you spotted her coming out of her art studio room carrying a gigantic painting.
"Whats going on, you moving or something?" You asked your voice cracking.
"You sound bad, did you just wake up?" Amber asked laying the painting against what little wall space we had left.
"More like I was trying to sleep but these loud bangs were preventing me." You scoffed, crossing your arms.
"Oh, oops sorry." She said sheepishly.
"What are you doing anyway?" You asked while stretching your arms.
"We are having an art gallery tonight and I need to take all of these to the studio." She said while going back to her room and grabbing yet a nother huge paining.
"Well how are you going to take all of these? Thats a lot for just one person to do." You said leaning on your door sill.
She turned to you and smiled devishly,
"Thats why your helping me."
"Ahhh." Was all you said before turning around and slamming the door shut.
You went over to your bathroom, washed your face, brushed your teeth and combed your hair. Pulling it into a loose bun you went over to your closet and began to rummage through your clothing. You were not a fashion diva so you kept things simple. You threw on some black ripped jeans, a loose tank top that has live to dance across it and some black converse. Taking sunglasses off your dresser you went back to the hallway where Amber and a heck of a lot of paintings were waiting.
Clapping your hands together you asked,
"So, how are we going to get all these painting there?"
"Auntie's husband was kind enough to lend us his truck for the hour." She gestured to the keys in her hand.
"Ok, cool. Then lets start LOADING." You stated throwing your fist up in the air.
Putting on your determined look you both carried a painting and loaded them onto the back of the truck. After going up and down the stairs more then you would ever like to in your lifetime you put the last painting in the trunk and strapped them down. Taking your hand and wiping it across your forehead you sighed,
"Well that was a workout."
Amber just simply chuckled. Opening the door you both threw yourselves into the truck. Turning the key the truck started and you made your way to the studio. Arriving you were met with a couple of helpers who helped you unload the paintings. Once done you went to Amber and handed her the keys.
"I'm guessing your staying, right." You said.
"Yeah you coming later to the gallery?" She asked.
"Of course." You said ruffling her short hair.
"I'm going to go grab an ice cream and probably head to the park. Todays a good day to walk." You said pointing over your back towards the ice cream shop.
