Chapter 12

Noah

I walked down the long empty hallway of the hospitable.   My heart was about to jump out of my body, because it was beating so hard.  Okay here it is.  Room 11.  I slowly open the door;  I saw Millie sleeping and softly snoring.  She is hooked up to a lot of machines, why did she do this?  'Right now isn't the time to do this she needs her sleep.'  I thought trying to get myself out of the situation.  

I turned around and started to open the door when I heard Millie's faint voice, "Noah?"  She asked.  I turned back around and faced her.  I couldn't bring myself to look  at her, this was all my fault.

"Millie-"  I said walking over to her, "I'm so so sorry, this is all my fault and and-"

"Noah,"  she cut me off,"  this was not your fault.  It was my stupid decision.  I-i just want to know."  She paused for a second tears forming in her eyes.

"You can ask me Millie, you can ask me anything."  I encouraged her.

"What did I do?"  Her tears now falling. 

"Millie."  I sat down on the edge of her bed. "You didn't do anything."

"But then why did you-"

I cut her off, "It was me." I continued, "  When that kid kid Matt said what he did, I should've stood up for you. I-i felt like a well that I should've done more for you th-that I don't deserve you or something.  Millie," I gazed into her eyes, " I'm sorry."

She smiled at me just like she did the night we met.  "Noah, I wouldn't be able to live without you-."  She was cut off by the doctor coming into the room.

"Noah, your times up.  Time for you to leave.  Millie, we are going to take you into testing, and give you some shots."  He said.

"No, No!  I'm not going anywhere without Noah."  She basically yelled, her eyes filled with fear; she was terrified of shots, or anything to do with tests.  The doctor's eyes filled with shock.  

"I'm sorry young lady, but you can't have anyone in there with you."  He stated.  She looked at me with fear in her eyes.  A tear rolled down her face.

"Oh come on.  She wasn't talking before.  I did you a favor!  The least you can do is  let me come with her.  She obviously feels more comfortable with me. "  I said very seriously.

The man pondered on his decision for awhile, but finally came to a conclusion.  "Fine, but if you get in the way I will kick you out."  He said.  I nodded with a big smile on my face.
