Chapter 8

Noah 2:34 am 

I've been worried about Millie all day.  Her dad is moving out tomorrow.  I needed to do something.  I went into Gaten's room, because he's the best with these kind of things.  " Gaten, Gaten, Gaten wake up!"  I whisper shouted.

"What? What do you want?" He asked.

"It's Millie. I wanna do something nice for her." I explained

"Ok, I'm in." He responds.  He told me his plan and all I can say is that it is amazing!  It's 2 in the morning and were going to take Millie for ice cream!  there's an amazing place down the road that's 24 hours.  So first step, wake up the rest of the guys and then explain the plan to them. I was waking up Finn and Gaten was waking up Caleb.

"Finn wake up!"  I again whisper shouted.

"What do you want?" He asked.

"Gaten and I are taking Millie out for ice cream. You coming or not?"

"Yeah. Yeah, I'm coming."  He mumbled.  We all got ready then quietly went into Millie's room to wake her up.  I lightly shook her but she was still asleep.  Her face was tear stained, I hope this ice cream will help cheer her up.

"Millie, Millie, wake up." I quietly whispered.

"Noah? What are you doing-" she glanced at the clock then continued, "It' 2 in the morning."

"Yeah I know. They guys and I are taking you out for ice cream!  A smile crept onto her face.  

"Ok! I'll get changed!"  Her tone immediately changed, as she sprung out of her bed.

Millie

I can't believe that they're doing this for me.  I've never snuck out before so this will be fun!  I decided to wear black yoga pants, a t-shirt, and a gray hoodie.  I cleaned up my face, because I basically cried myself to sleep.  I went downstairs into the kitchen, where the guys were waiting for me.  I grabbed the spare key and put it in my purse as we went out the door.

It was a 15 minute walk to the ice cream shop.  We talked about a lot of things we talked about how we all hate school, movies,  all kinds of things.   Finally we got to the ice cream shop.  "I'll have the chocolate ice cream please."  I said.

"Ok, that will (triggered) be $2.99."  The women behind the counter said.  

"Okay!" I said in a cheery voice.  I reached down for my purse when Caleb grabbed my shoulder and turned me towards him.

" Your not paying." He said.

"Yeah I am." I responded.

"Yeah Caleb's right on this one."  Gaten chimed in.

"You guys, chill, I can pay for myself."

"Millie. We are paying for you and there is nothing you can." Finn said handing the women three dollars.  I playfully rolled my eyes at them as I took my first bite of my chocolate ice cream.
