-Kaye POV-

Saturday morning.

My Saturdays were reserved for extra homework, projects and studying. But when I woke up - my head was pounding so much, the last thing I wanted to do was open a book.

When I woke up, I drank the water beside my bed - that's when last night came back in spotty images. I groaned intensely.

What have I done?

Going downstairs, the clock in the kitchen read 9:30 a.m. I should have slept in but I was starving and I had eaten the crisps on my side table during the night.

I noticed a note on the fridge as I got some milk out.

Meetings today, we'll be back later.
-mom & dad.

I sighed gratefully, knowing I didn't have to act like I wasn't in the worse state of mind possible. It ached all over - I wasn't used to this okay.

While making cereal, there was a knock on the door. Being the rude person I am, I yelled, "Who is it?"

"Nash!!"

I almost dropped the milk.

"Come on it!" I yelled and tried to steady myself. I caught my dreadful appearance in the microwave and winced. Too late to even pat my hair down.

Seconds later, Nash paraded into the kitchen with a smile on his face. I couldn't help but cover my face and laugh. A silent conversation passing through us.

"Oh gosh, Nash!" I groaned into my hands. "I'm so sorry!"

Nash chuckled. "Come here, damn it."

He pulled me into a hug, covering me with his warm arms, he smelled like soap. I found some comfort in that and exhaled.

"How bad was it?" I asked, not even able to recall our whole convo last night. But I knew I was snappy at him for being with Chloe.

"Not bad at all." Nash laughed and rubbed my back. "But I did get some shade for talking to - "

I pulled away and gasped. "I'm so sorry about that! The alcohol made me feel a little crazy. I mean we're not even official and I just - "

"Hey." Nash gripped my chin. "To me, we are so official. I didn't even notice her until she came to ask about Hayes."

"Oh." I pouted. "Forgive me for being so lame?"

Nash mirrored my pout. "It was pretty sexy - the look you gave me."

"Nash!" I laughed and punched him lightly.

He chuckled. "What? It really was."

"Hmm." I smiled. "Shall I make us some breakfast? Parents are out - "

"No no no." Nash clapped his hands. "I think I should take you out for breakfast today."

"That isn't necessary." I squeezed his hand.

Nash pulled me closer. "Come on. Our first relationship breakfast."

"That sounds nice." I shrugged and slid my arms around his neck. "Maybe we should."

"Oh yeah. And after that, let me take you shopping or whatever you love. I hear the bookstore has a sale!"

I gasped. "God you know me so well, I'm gonna shower!"

I dashed out of the kitchen with Nash chuckling to himself. I had to look back to remind myself this was actually happening.
