*LOVE CONQUER'S ALL* (Criss Angel Story)

*TWENTY-ONE*

Johnny and I have been living with Criss now for three weeks, today...I got the word from Stoney that he was going to be coming out to stay with us for a while with Rachel...beens he recently finished his new album called "Electric Eye"...which was going to be a huge success in his opinion...and in mine too, after he sent me a recording of it through my phone. Criss has been so busy lately working his ass off...Johnny and I haven't seen much of him in the last week. The week before that we both watched as his daddy was steamrolled over, which really upset Johnny...and to tell you the truth it didn't do much good on my nerves either...after we found out that our daddy was ok, I got into a fight with him, and told him if he was ever going to pull another stunt like that...it was better all around if he didn't tell me about it...and Johnny was not going to watch him try to kill himself again...after our initial fight...he moved out of the house and into his suite as the Luxor, which I didn't like, but he wanted to be bullheaded about it all, so I let him have his way for now...and ever since Johnny saw him do that...he's been having nightmares about his daddy dying.

Criss called us and promised that he wouldn't do anything like that again...and assured his little man, that he was just fine, then he hung up with me and went back to work...then Klayton called to let me know he and Rachel were on their way then hung up with me, I gave Criss a call and told him that Klayton and Rachel were going to come down and stay with us for a while...he said that sounded really good, then changed the subject, and asked me to bring Johnny with me to the Luxor so we could have lunch together...I told him I'd be there with Johnny in about 20 minutes...then I asked him if we was still fighting...for I really missed him, and didn't want to do it anymore...he sighed and said he really missed me too...and that he was very sorry for being such an ass...then said he didn't want to fight anymore either...I kissed him through the phone and said good, no more fights then, I told him if he came home tonight after work I'd give him my personal makeup session when he got there tonight...for Mama D, called me and wanted to know if it was alright if Johnny spent the weekend with her...and when I asked Johnny if he wanted to he said yes very excitingly...Criss chuckled and said he just said yes knowing that grandma always baked cookies on the weekends...then slowly added that he was definitely going to move back home after work.

I got dressed and then dressed Johnny up a little bit, as I told him that we were meeting daddy at his work, to have lunch with him...Johnny got real excited and quickly grabbed his stuffed bunny, and his sippy cup and came back in and said he was ready...but as I picked him up, I noticed he was very hot to the touch...and looked right at him and asked him if he was feeling ok...but he said yes...so I kept a close eye on him, but took him for our lunch date with daddy. When we got to the Luxor, Criss was waiting for us by the fountain in front of his store...he was signing a couple of autographs for some female fans...but when he saw me and Johnny, he knelt down so Johnny could run into his arms...Criss scooped him up and kissed him and did a little spin with him, telling him how badly he's missed his little Houdini...Johnny giggled the entire time...as I made it beside him...he pulled me in and kissed me deeply in front of everyone, and said how sorry he was again...then we walked hand in hand as Johnny was in his arms.

Criss took us to The Pyramid Cafe, to have lunch...for he said he was tired of going to Tacos & Tequila...for a while...which was fine with me, for all I wanted was a salad with all the fixings...Johnny wanted a turkey sub sandwich and some juice...Criss just grabbed an apple and ate a bite of Johnny's sandwich and shared my salad with me, for they were always so large, I could never finish one...after lunch I noticed a lot of people staring and me and Johnny...but Criss told me to ignore them, that they were just being inquisitive, for he kept his private life private...and they all wanted to know who we were...I stood up and took the trash and tossed it into the dumpster as Criss paid for the meal...then I grabbed Johnny and Criss took my hand and walked out with me.

I checked Johnny's head again, and told Criss that I was going to stop by the pediatric center and let the doctor take a look at him, for he's been very hot all morning...he kissed me and then kissed him on his forehead and told me to give him a call as soon as I found out anything...I told him I would...then headed off down the road to the doctor...and of course as soon as I pulled up Johnny saw where we were at and began to cry...but I told him it was just a short visit, and that he wouldn't get a needle this time...it was just for a quick checkup...the doctor told me that it was his cancer causing it...and then handed me a bottle with some liquid aspirin in it, and told me to give him a little bit of it twice a day.

I thanked him then put Johnny's shirt back on him and told him we were all done, that we could go home...as soon as I got into the car I called Criss and told him what I found out...and what the doctor gave me for him...Criss gave me a kiss through the phone and said he would come home early today...so he could help take care of his little boy...until it was his grammy time. I told him that it sounded like a good idea...just as I hung up with Criss, Klayton called and said he and Rachel would be landing at the airport very soon, and that someone would need to come pick them up...I told him that I would see what I could do...then hung up with him, and turned around and called Criss again, and asked him if he could pick them up from the airport, that I needed to get Johnny home...for mama D was going to be there to get him shortly and I needed to give him his medicine...Criss said he was on his way to the airport right now to pick them up, then he would be home.
