"What do you mean?" Harry asked. The guilt was already resonating deep inside him, even though he didn't have a clue what exactly he had done wrong this time.
Eleanor just shook her head, losing the little eye contact she had been keeping with Harry. She tried to pull away from the hold he had her in, but Harry wasn't having any of that. The more she struggled to move away and avoid the question, the more Harry tightened his arm around her. With both arms now around her, Eleanor was forced to look up at Harry.
"Just tell me," he softly pleaded with her; ever so slightly leaning his head in closer.
She hated having to bring Harry into her constant battle against Louis. But seeing as it was about Harry this time, she didn't exactly have a choice. Everything seemed to be about Harry nowadays.
Eleanor took a quick glance towards where Louis was standing, but he had completely disappeared; too angered to wait for his girlfriend. It was fine; she would rather stick around Harry anyways.
"He just made me mad when he beeped the car horn at you to hurry up, so I told him not to rush you," Eleanor explained. "And he kinda just snapped..." Harry didn't like sound of that.
"Eleanor," he pressed on when she didn't continue.
Just then, a new crowd of people entered the rambunctious building, making Harry and Eleanor realize that the entryway was probably not the best place to talk. Without her consent, Harry proceeded to take Eleanor by the hand and led her further into the club.
The couple stepped into the main room. It was packed and dark; only illuminated for seconds at a time by flashes of strobe and laser lights. The atmosphere shined with dizzying resplendence. A huge bar was located at the center, as opposed to against a far wall. To the right end of the room there was a DJ playing the deafeningly loud mixes of popular tunes that blasted throughout the entire building, vibrating the concrete floor. An insane amount of people stood before them. All of which were dancing and grinding with sweat despite the cool air streaming in through some open glass panels on the high ceiling.
Harry scanned the immense room for anywhere suitable to have a quiet conversation. It didn't take long for him to come to the conclusion that it was a lost cause in a crowded night club. Defeated in his search, he took Eleanor to a far corner of the building. He faced her in order to avoid having any passerby's recognize him.
The whole scene must have appeared typical to any onlookers; a guy taking a girl over to somewhere more private in a club. Harry didn't want to waste time looking for a more appropriate place to talk. He was desperate to know what Louis had said and why he had lost his temper so suddenly. Eleanor had appeared calm throughout the car ride. Almost as if nothing had happened. It made Harry wonder how many times in the past had Louis snapped at her without anyone noticing.
Harry shook his head involuntarily and got back to the matter at hand. "Now, what did he say to you?" he said, giving her his most intense stare.
She sighed, looking anywhere but Harry. "He asked why I always have to take your side when I'm his girlfriend."
Harry grimaced, already annoyed with Louis being a jerk to his girlfriend. "What else?" He asked, knowing that wasn't all.
"He...he..." Eleanor hesitated. "Harry, it's not important. Just forget it, please?"
Harry frowned at how she was clearly frightened by what his reaction might be if she told him. Instead of egging her on, he decided to attempt a different approach. He slowly leaned over her smaller frame until his nose was nearly brushing just below her ear. Eleanor stiffened as she could feel his warm breath hitting her neck, and she nearly swooned at the intoxicating scent he carried with him.
Harry was careful to make sure his body was not touching hers. The only contact was his lips being dangerously close to her trembling neck. He tried to refrain from smirking at the affect he had on her just by doing something so simple. He put on his sweetest voice and tried asking again. "C'mon, babe. What did Louis say? You can tell me."
Eleanor screwed her eyes shut, trying to focus on anything but Harry's silky voice. When he didn't get a response, he finally allowed his lips to meet her shivering neck. He harshly sucked on her perfect skin, hoping to change that.
"Harry," She unintentionally whined. Eleanor wasn't sure if she wanted him to stop, but she didn't make a single attempt to force him to. She didn't want anyone to see them, but she couldn't bring herself to pull away from the mesmerizing boy.
He only stopped to graze his teeth down to her collarbone and began to make the blood under her skin rise once again.
"Yes, sweetheart?" he asked, only pulling away for a second, and in that second he caught a peek at the pair of love bites he'd left behind. He couldn't help but smile, pleased with how he had marked her.
She brought her hands up to his shoulders with all the intentions of pushing him away. Yet, Eleanor found herself clutching at the the fabric of his jacket instead.
"Harry, someone's gonna see," what was left of her sanity tried to reason with him.
"Well, then I guess you better tell me what he said to you," he murmured the ultimatum in between torturously slow open-mouthed kisses. Harry was growing impatient. Yet again, Eleanor left him without an answer.
"Fine then."
With both hands holding Eleanor captive by her waist, Harry began to walk backwards towards the thick crowd of people. He steadily pulled her along, making sure to never break his eye contact. The plot of people they had joined all appeared to be dancing in a way that would only be acceptable in a packed night club.
Eleanor was confused for a moment, but all became clear when Harry pulled her hips against his own, carefully grinding into her.
