The five singers took their seats on the stage, positioning themselves to sing 'Little Things.' This by far was Eleanor's favorite part of the concert.

As Niall began to skillfully strum the first chords to the song on his guitar the crowd quieted. She watched, well everyone watched, as Zayn lifted the microphone to his mouth. The crowd mimicked the words being produced by his velvety smooth voice. The sea of people sang along as the angelic voices took their turns and sang each of their solos.

Soon enough Louis' turn came around.

"You can't go to bed without your dungarees." Louis smirked towards Harry, clearly pleased with himself.

Harry hadn't even noticed his friend looking his way, though. His attention was still being captivated by the girl who'd had captivated him for what seemed like the longest time. A smile crept on his face while his eyes were fixated on Eleanor. He could faintly make her out among the fans, but there she was, sitting where she always sat.

Louis finished his solo and now it was Harry's turn. Little did Eleanor know what he had planned to say.

"I know you've never loved the way that he treats you

You never feel right when you're with him

I still get nervous when you're with me

Cause you're perfect to me"

With that Louis was on his feet, fists clenched. Everyone stated at him with confused and surprised expressions. It only took him two seconds to realize he needed to compose himself because they were in the middle of a playing a show.

Liam quickly pulled Louis back down to the steps where the two were sitting next to one another. Leave it to Liam to make sure everything ran smoothly. He proceeded to give Louis an inquisitive look, but the older boy was staring frustratedly at the ground, deep in thought.

Harry couldn't possibly mean Eleanor. He wouldn't. Everything told Louis otherwise. They thought Louis wouldn't notice they were both nowhere to be found at the same time before the show, but he did. He'd been noticing a lot lately.

He had no quantifiable amount of proof to anything. Yet, so many red flags were being raised at once. Something had been off for a while. Louis had dismissed any suspicions that emerged within the last couple of days in order to prevent any fights with Eleanor. He had been holding back various interrogations and this was pushing it.

Louis knew he couldn't do anything for the remaining hour of the concert. He had to finish the show and act natural. He had to make it seem as if nothing was bothering him, when in reality he had a million worrying thoughts running through his head. Well, that's his job for you.

Relief flooded through Louis as he and the rest of One Direction finally ran off the stage. The crowd was still chanting their name behind them. The show was over and the boys were at last able to go back to their hotel and relax.

Eleanor had already made her way back stage during the last song in order to avoid getting mobbed by fans. She stood patiently watching as each of the boys walked past her and away from the stage. She received a pair of nods from Zayn and Niall as they headed to their ride back to the hotel.

"See you later, babe." Liam waved as he, too, passed by her. He was off towards the same direction as the other boys.

Now only Louis and Harry remained to make their way backstage. The few seconds that it took for them to come in to Eleanor's view felt like an eternity.

All the lyric changes and the on-stage banter had left her as confused as ever. She had attempted to push any thoughts about it away during the concert away. But now that there were no screaming girls around, no muffle out the sound of her inner monologue, she was left at the mercy of her wandering mind.

Had Harry done all this intentionally, or was it just a coincidence? She had to admit the second possibility was a long shot.

Every idea that had threaded through her mind was straightened out as soon as she saw Harry approach her. Louis was trailing behind, a few meters after him. The boys wore opposite expressions. Louis' being frustrated and Harry's being that of a boy in love.

Harry smiled like he knew something that no one else in the room did. It gave him an air confidence as he eyed Eleanor with a flat out smirk. He knew Louis was right behind him so he was forced to leave Eleanor with nothing but a winning smile and a wink. They were each left unnoticed by anyone but the girl they were meant for.

Eleanor stared at him as he walked by, unaware of her obvious gawking until someone cleared their throat to get her attention. She whipped her head back towards Louis' direction to find him standing mere inches from her.

"You alright?" He asked. They both knew he had caught her staring at Harry a few seconds ago.

"Yeah. You were great. I really loved 'Little Things.'" She tried to get him to leave the subject untouched by acknowledging how he had adjusted the lyrics to fit her. A job Harry had done far better than he.

Louis nodded. "Let's get going," he said guiding her down the hall the same way the other boys had exited.

They made their way to parking lot where Louis had his car parked. As they approached the pair of glass doors that lead to the outside, they could hear the sound of rain hitting the pavement.

Eleanor tugged at her leather jacket, pulling it tighter around her. Louis stopped her, abruptly putting an arm out in front of her to halt her.

"You wait here. I'll go get the car," he sighed.

"Al-" Eleanor was about to reply but Louis was already out the door. She lost sight of him as he deepened his strides into the darkness. She leaned against the wall, staring up at the ceiling. The night had not gone at all how she had expected.

"Did you enjoy my little last minute changes?" an all too familiar voice startled Eleanor.

The boy she was smitten with had seemingly appeared out of nowhere. He stood before her with a cocky grin playing on his perfect lips. Her gaze lifted and she eyed his dripping wet hair, darkened from the dampness. Single droplets trickled down his face and onto his t-shirt . She couldn't take her eyes off him for a second.

"W-what are you still doing here?" Eleanor asked, finally finding her voice.

Harry shrugged nonchalantly. "I was just taking a lonely shower before I go back to my lonely hotel room."

Eleanor's eyes widened for a split second at his suggestive response. His smirk only deepened at her flustered state.

"You didn't answer my question," he pointed out.

She thought for a second than nodded in confirmation, not trusting her voice. More than you'll ever know.

"Good," he smiled with a pleased expression. He took a step towards her. Eleanor pressed her body against the wall. It was a failed attempt to maintain a normal proximity between the two of them. Let's just say it was a closeness that Louis would in no way be comfortable with.

"He's gonna be back any second. You should go," Eleanor said trying to keep Harry from going any further.

"I'm just talking to my friend," he stated solemnly. He dropped his voice to a whisper so that only she could hear his words despite the fact that they were completely alone. "I can't wait until you're all mine. Only mine."

He pulled away from her in one quick movement. Harry turned towards the glass door, pulling it open just as Louis pulled open the one adjacent to it.

"Louis," he nodded to his bandmate. "Goodnight, El-leanor." He caught himself before he used Eleanor's nickname around Louis.

"Goodnight, Harry."
