Reader POV

Me and Kirito held each others hand tightly as we walked back to his from the beach. We had so much fun! We even learnt a bit about each other. I feel so sorry for Kirito with him having to deal with Sachi and his guilds deaths... I just didn't know what to say to him. I slowed down as I thought about this, my laughter fading away. Kirito glanced at me, slowing his pace to match mine.

"What wrong u/n?" He asked me in a gentle voice. "If you're thinking about what to say about Sachi and the rest, don't worry about it. I'm fine." He put his hands on my shoulders and twisted me towards him, making me look at him straight in his eyes. I glanced up and my breath caught in my throat. His face was so close to mine... There was only about an inch or twos distance between us. Kiritos breathing had slowed as well. My heart was pounding so fast, I could swear it would jump out of my chest... I could feel the blood rushing to my cheeks, spreading into a bright red blush! I could swear I was looking like a tomato. Still, I couldn't take my eyes away from his own...

Kirito suddenly looked away, embarrassed. Normally, he would be upfront about something and say it but for some reason... He couldn't say what he wanted to. Maybe he felt the same way I did...Quickly shaking my hair out of my face, I started walking again along with Kirito. Wait... he's stopping! Kirito led me to a nearby bench and we sat together.

"Ummm... why have we stopped Kirito?" I asked him. I looked at him curiously,  wondering what he was going to reply with. However, I dint get another thought in before he surprised me! All of a sudden, Kirito kissed me! All my thoughts faded away as I closed my eyes and accepted Kiritos kiss. We had only kissed a handful of times in this last week; I could count them on my fingers. When he pulled away,  he said:

"That's what I wanted to do a minute ago..." well. I wasn't expecting that! But somehow, that gap inside of me that had been worrying about Kirito had been filled; it had filled up. It's as if he filled it up himself with his kiss. A small smile was on my face and Kirito was mirroring this look. I was sure I was blushing again.

"Thank you Kirito..." I said, catching his onyx eyes in mine. Kirito put his arm around me and pulled me against his side. Together, side by side, we watched as the sun set over the hills, the sea just viable in the distance. I sighed and leant into Kirito, feeling cheerful and happy.

"Hey, u/n... I know you're temporarily living at my place for the moment, how would you like to make that permanently? " Kirito whispered. I gasped, speechless. There was only one answer for that but I couldn't get it out. I nodded and Kirito smiled even wider. We were finally officially living together!

When the sun had disappeared completely,  me and Kirito began walking again. We could of just used teleported crystals but walking was more enjoyable as we could spend more time together...

Kirito POV

Finally. I had asked her. I couldn't get rid of the smile that had made its way onto my face; I was so happy! We had been living together before but that was only so she could find her own place. Now,  we could live together as a couple! Overjoyed, we started laughing and joking around as we walked home.

Reader POV

When we finally reached the front door, Kirito handed me a key! He laughed as I threw my arms around his neck, pleased to officially be living with him. We were two of the strongest fighters in the game and we were together (not boasting, it's just we have the highest skill levels). Just imagine what people would say? I unlocked the door and walked into our home. Kirito switched the Ightfield on and sat at the sofa, pulling out a book on swords. I laughed and went straight into the kitchen to prepare tea. Once I finally decided upon making pizza, I shoved it in to cook. I hunted for the hot sauce as Kirito was in love with spicy food. This pizza would be extra spicy. After a few minutes it was ready and I served it up. It's amazing how quickly things hapoened in this virtual world! So much easier than IRL! I gave Kirito his pizza and we sat down together and ate.

After dinner, I curled up on the sofa next to Kirito and read a book called 'Surviving against the odds'. It was pretty boring and soon my eyelids grew heavy. Soon, I drifted out of concious Ness into a land of dreams...

Kirito POV

I glanced down at u/n. She hadn't moved for a while and was incredibly quiet. Her book had fallen to the floor out of her grasp. Looking down at her peaceful face, I realised she was asleep! I guess she was exhausted after today's walking and water fight. A smile once again consumed my face as I remembered today's events. Gently, I stroked u/n's hair. She stirred slightly and burrowed closer to me. There was no chance in the world that I would be able to move her now! Chuckling quietly, I turned off the lights using my menu and fell asleep with u/n in my arms...
