Wonwoo rode and rode until he finally reached home. He hopped off and brought his horse back into the barn. Wonwoo looked back on today, the feeling of Gyu's warmth still lingered on him. The boy smiled, walking back into the hell that was his home.

"Wonwoo! Where have you been?" Questioned Lady Boo. "I had the afternoon off so-" "I don't care! Start preparing dinner right this instance!" She yelled at the poor boy. Storming away with Woozi snuggled deep in her arms. "Yes, right away." Wonwoo replied, putting on an apron.

Moments later, the doorbell rang. Wonwoo got up from the kitchen to answer the door for his Step Mother. When he opened the door, there stood a member of the Royal Palace. It was the Prince's personal advisor, Vernon.

"Good evening sir." Wonwoo greeted the young man. "Hello, and good evening to you too. I'm here to deliver a message from the Royal Family." He replied. "Ayo Ayo. Every young man and maiden who is eligible for marriage is hereby invited to the Prince's coming of age ceremony. There will be a ball to commemorate this special day and the Prince will choose his husband or bride at the time." Said Vernon, handing him an official copy of the letter. Wonwoo thanked him. "Oh I almost forgot. Here's a mixtape I've been working on. It's lit." Vernon exclaimed, pulling out a vinyl of his mixtape that was titled 'Mac Fully Loaded'. "Aha thanks.." Wonwoo awkwardly grabbed it and chucked it far away when Vernon was not looking.

Wonwoo went back to the kitchen after that ordeal, he finished cooking dinner and began his way to the dining room. "Wonwoo, who was that at the door earlier?" Questioned Lady Boo. "It was Vernon, the Prince's royal advisor. He came to hand us an invitation to Prince Mingyu's coming of age ball," he answered her, passing over the invitation. Her expression changed from a grumpy cat lady to an overly excited soccer mom. "Girls! We must get ready for this ball immediately!" She exclaimed, almost falling off of her seat. "The Prince would be choosing his bride to be there and I want you girls to be on top of his list!." She told her daughters. The twin girls squealed in delight. "This is the best news i've ever heard!" Seokminji chirped, "Yes sister it is, to know that he the prince would choose one of us to be his wife is certainly a dream come true!" Added Soonyoona.

"Wonwoo, I want you to go to the dressmaker early next morning before she gets busy with orders!" Lady Boo commanded. "Yes Stepmother. May I also go to the ball?" Wonwoo politely asked her. He hoped that she would let him go since he was eager to see Gyu again. "Are you kimbab kidding me? You at the ball? HA! What nonsense are you spewing boy?!" She laughed at him. "B-but it said that anyone can go.." He rebutted. "Yeah, as in those who can afford to." "What made you think that you were even able to?" Questioned his Stepsisters. "I made a friend who works at the castle today and he invited me ..." Wonwoo stuttered. "That's the funniest thing i've heard in my entire life! You having friends? You better get your head out of the clouds and work harder you hear me?! Now get out!" Yelled Lady Boo. Wonwoo politely bowed and went back into the kitchen.

He felt stupid thinking that he, an orphan slave would be able to attend such a grand event just as his stepmother had said. Tears began forming in the corners of his eyes, they slowly slid down his cheeks. Wonwoo sighed and wiped the tears away, returning back to work. Little did he know that his tiny mice friends overheard their conversation. Over the course of the week, Jun and Minghao made it their priority to find a way to get Wonwoo to that ball.
