My Friend
My friend, I stand in judgment now,
And feel that you're to blame somehow.
On Earth I walked with you day by day,
And never did you point the way.

You knew the Lord in truth and glory,
But never did you tell the story.
My knowledge then was very dim;
You could have led me safe to Him.

Though we lived together here on Earth,
You never told me of the second birth.
And now I stand this day condemned,
Because you failed to mention Him.

You taught me many things, that's true;
I called you "friend" and trusted you.
But I learn now that it's too late,
And you could have kept me from this fate.

We walked by day and talked by night,
And yet you showed me not this light.
You let me live, and love, and die,
You knew I'd never live on high.

Yes, I called you "friend" in life,
And trusted you through joy and strife.
And, yet, on coming to this dreadful end,
I cannot, now, call you "my friend."

A/N: I read this in a book and it broke my heart and trampled my toes, stomping all over them. If you have someone in your life that you aren't truly giving much effort into witnessing to about Jesus, please stop sitting down and letting their life go by. It's amazing to go to heaven, but it's 1000x better to go there with the ones you love cause you extended the invitation to them.
We only live in this world but for a moment, you never know who's time it could be next. Because, what kind of relationship do you really have if you would go to Heaven when you die, but your loved one would go to Hell? If you've known your loved one your whole life on Earth, then are separated for 800 million plus years (forever), what kind of relationship is that? If you are not in an eternal relationship, are you in a relationship at all?  Make every moment you have in this life with your loved ones count.
May God Bless,
Kalen
