Sunrise paints
the sky blood red
your heart echoes
this sentiment
It weeps with the
falling of rain
with the howling wind
in painNo sunny sky
can lessen the ache
of the tender pieces
about to break
No laughing smiles
can take the place
of the truest heart
the sweetest faceThat turned out to be
a mirrored mask
hiding emotions
no one dared ask
For one fateful day
when joy seemed sure
that unseen mask
crashed to the floorBetrayal cut deep
into your heart
Once hopeful,
now distrust tears it apart
Oh Heart
will you ever be the same?
Oh Soul
can you learn to live again?
