"Most of you already know the details, but your classmate Jason Blossom's body was found late Saturday night. So as of the weekend, Jason's death is now being treated as a homicide."Riverdale High was completely silent as Sheriff Keller spoke over the intercom, no one daring to so much as move.
"It is an open and ongoing investigation-"
"And may I interject?"
Cheryl's voice now blared through into every classroom of the school, her tone menacing and vicious.
"Neither I nor my parents will rest until Jason's death is avenged, and his cold-hearted killer is walking the Green Mile to sit in Old sparky and fry."
Shivers ran down Elle's spine, her widened eyes meeting Kevin and Betty's. No one was exempt from the investigation, everyone was a suspect.
"I, for one, have my suspicions. #RiverdaleStrong."
There was an audible sigh of annoyance from Sheriff Keller before he continued, though not much else could be expected of Cheryl.
"If you know anything that could help us find and apprehend Jason's killer, or anything about what happened to him on July 4th, I strongly urge you to come forward immediately.... a death like this wounds us all. Let's not let Jason down."

The Biology class buzzed with whispers and not so quiet talk on the morning's dramatic start, everyone having something to say.
Elle sat nearer the back of the room, fidgeting with her pencil and staring at nothing out of the window. She was thinking intently about the Betty, Veronica, and Archie drama, whilst half listening to Cheryl tear down some questioning girls.
Elle was stressed. Extremely stressed.
It was no secret that she lacked the ability to be rational, so with a murder investigation occurring and severe drama between her best friends, any sort of focus was out of the question.
Cheryl Blossom's newfound distaste for her wasn't helping either.
Elle's eyes carefully drifted over to Cheryl's seat in front of her, as Cheryl violently yanked on her rubber gloves. If anyone could do such a trivial thing violently, it was her.
"I'll tell you what i told them.."
Cheryl spoke as if everyone and everything was a hinderance. Superiority practically dripped off her, through every graceful movement and all passive aggressive comments. Being extremely observant and extremely tactical made her legitimately scary, but it could only be guessed who she was beyond that bitter persona.
