|Two Weeks Later|

"Y'all done torchin' dey life?" August asked sat next to me on the couch.

"Yes." I laughed taking some shrimps off his plate.

"Yah wanna die?" He looked at me with one of his eyes twitching.

"Yea but it's gonna be cause of old age." I continued to eat. "Baby you graduate in like two weeks." I realized how fast this year went by.

"Yea so?" August shrugged like it wasn't a big deal.

"What you mean, "yea so?", that's a big deal." I forward my eyebrows together.

"Nah not really I ain't gon do shit." He said so nonchalant.

"And why not Anthony?" I turned the tv off so I knew he was paying attention.

"Why does it matter?" He looked over at me annoyed. "It's just another piece of paper."

"Baby it matters because you been through hell and back to get your degree. You'll be the first to graduate from college in your family. And because it's a piece of paper that shows that a young black man can do anything in this world besides be a rapper or a drug dealer."

"A nigga sell doe."

"You know what August." I started getting up.

"No I'm playin' beybeh." He pulled me back down.

Putting his plate on the coffee table, August pulled me closer to him.

"A nigga get wad chu sayin'. I do. But yah still gotta think, ain't nobody gon hire a nigga with tattoos all over dem."

"Baby that's why it's up to you to make a change. Build you own shit, make your own empire."

"Yknow I love you?" August smirked.

"Yes." I answered smiling. "I love you too."

"Good." He kissed me.

I deepen the kiss straddling him. Slowly moving his hands up my thighs, August slide his hand in my tights. Using two fingers he played with my other set of lips. A knock at the door ended our little session.

"Ugh." I got off August, fixing myself before I went to the door.

"Da da da da da!" Liyah was chewing on her fingers as I open the door.

"Hey my baby." I cooed, taking her out of Jay's arm.

"Take yah child that all I've heard all day." Jay looked like all her energy was gone. "Who taught her how to walk? Why would you do that?" She walked off talking to anyone who was listening.

"Thanks for watching her!!"

"Yea yea yea." She fanned me off.

"You drove Titi crazy?" I laughed looking at Aaliyah, shutting and locking the door.

"Da da da da." Was all I got from her.

"Okay daddy is.." I turned to see August gone off the couch. "Da da is somewhere."

Walking to the back, August was coming out of the bathroom.

"Da da da da." Liyah reached out for him.

"Liy Liy Liy Liy." August grabbed her out my arms. "Wassup my beybeh?" He raised her up.

Liyah start gibbering on about God knows what, August talked back to her as if he understand her.

"You don't understand a word she sayin." I laughed.

"She said Titi was mad cause she ate all da cookies." August said matter factly. "Ain't dat righ?"

Liyah start talking gibberish again, while chewing on her fingers.

"Tell hea' daddy know dese things." August pat his chest.

"Daddy know these things." I mocked him walk back to the front. "Shut up." I mumbled.

Grabbing August's plate of food of the coffee table, I sat down on couch turning the tv back on.

"Put da shrimp back and put da plate down!!" August yelled from the back.

"How the hell?" I put his food back on the table.
