The elevator door opened and Adrien walked out onto the roof of the hotel. He breathed in and embraced the cold December air. Even though they were in Spain, it was still freezing outside, but as an ice skater, he was used to it.

He looked around and noticed a luxurious pool overlooking the city. Being so cold out, no one was swimming... And Adrien was tempted to jump in.

He held back. His father had always told him never to swim in the winter, he would get a cold, and a sick skater is a bad skater.

But then again, his father wasn't here.

'Another point,' Adrien though to himself, 'I'm not a skater right now, I'm a coach. Good point Adrien, thank you Adrien.'

And with that Adrien cannonballed into the pool.

He sank to the bottom, and when he floated back up to the top, he let all of his muscles relax. These moments, the few times he got them, reminded him of two things...

Life and love.

He's been denying both since he started skating.

Easily, his mind went back to his main focus, Marinette and her skating career.

In the morning she would be facing the rest of the remaining six female skaters: Alix Kubdel, Myléne Haprèle, Juleka Couffaine, Lila Rossi, and his former teammate, Chloé Bourgeois.

And the last of those six was Marinette Dupain-Cheng, who was currently fast asleep in the hotel room.

He felt so... grateful for her. He was so glad that she was kind enough to take him into her home, and let him be apart of her family. She was so kind....

Now that he thought about it, he should probably get back to her.

He climbed out of the pool and rang out his shirt, but it was a little see through from the water. He walked back to the elevator and pressed the down button, and jumped inside into the warmth.

I rolled over on the bed, trying to fall back asleep, but thoughts were overwhelming my brain. Repeats of my failures from last year played over and over in my head. Turning over, I slammed my face into the pillow and moaned.

Eventually I gave up and decided it was time to get up. Flipping over so I looked towards the ceiling, I sat up and looked around the room.

"Adrien?" I asked, but he wasn't in his bed. Looking out the window, I saw it wasn't day yet, so where was he?

Suddenly there was a click and the door opened.

"Who are- ADRIEN!" I screamed, almost jumping out of my bed.

Adrien stood in the doorway, his shirt and just see through enough to make me blush. He was soaking wet!

"Marinette calm down it's me!" He said with a laugh. He closed the door behind him and started to slip off his drenched shirt.

I yelped and covered my eyes, "A-ADRIEN WHY ARE YOU ALL WET?!?"

"I took a dip." He said with delight, "Did you know this hotel has a pool?"

"I-It's freezing outside!"

"I know, but I couldn't resist! Now I'm s-sh-shivering- so move over!"
