Oh monster in my dream,
why do you return to haunt silly old me?
You, with your hair of silk,
and smile of honey with a twist of vanilla,
your deep, dark, radiant eyes that shine like stars in the night,
perfectly painted nails,
and cheeks perfectly rose red with a hint of innocence.
You're the thing that truly scares me,
the thing that hides under my bed at night,
and haunts me in my dreams.
Your like an angel in the night,
you draw those who see you into your warmth,
but when they get close to you,
you transform into an ugly beast.
You turn into a beast with fiery eyes that seek revenge,
red scaly skin,
fangs that pierce the skin,
claws that tear and shred,
and I've no way to fight you.
What really frightens me,
I can not comprehend what you are!
Are you a future picture of myself?
Are you a trick that I will fall into?
When I see it,
how it scares me,
I turn and run, I want to warn the others,
but your fire envelopes me,
and I turn to ashes beneath your gaze.
Your the world around me,
so inviting, promising success,
yet tearing us apart,
and just when we figure it out,
its to late.
