The Animal Outsider

First day

Dang.
Today was the day.
I was walking towards the registration desk when a certain smell caught my attention.
It smelled​ like a smoldering fire and smoking embers.
I looked around for the source.
I couldn't trace it.
I walked to the registration desk and saw a bald guy with owlish features.
"Name?", He said without conviction.
"Jace Angel", I said excitedly.
"Animal?"
"Uhh, Griffin."
He stopped.
"What?"
"A Griffin."
He looked at me with inquiring eyes.
"Well, I'll be darned. First a Dragon and now a Griffin?"
'A dragon? That's what I smelled earlier.'
"What kind are you?"
" Hurry up ", called a blue haired girl.
" Wait one second. ",He called, " now, what kind?"
"Uhh, I'ma combination of four."
He handed me a slip.
"Your classes will start tomorrow."
"Thank you.", I walk away. My color changing eyes looked around in amazement.
"Time to start a new life at this place."
