Flowers and Worries. (Rise of the Guardians fanfic.)

Chapter Two

Jack and I are just about to walk into the main room from our talk, when all of a sudden he kisses me. "I love you April," Jack says. I am in shock and I can feel my cheeks turning red. Then I say "I love you to Jack."

Then we walk into the main room like nothing even happened. As soon as we see North he says "Pitch is coming back stronger. So I need all of you to pair up. And be with each other every moment of the day. Jack you go with April, Bunny and Tooth, and Sandy your with me. This is just a safety precaution."

"How am I suppose to prepare for Easter when Tooth has to go everywhere to gather teeth." Bunny says.

"Easter is months away. You'll be fine."

"Fine."

Once we all leave Jack says " I'm glad he paired us together."

"Me too." I then collapse on the floor I start having another nightmare. My mortal brother has me tied to a metal bed again. I wince in pain. I then look around the room and see blood everywhere. I look at my legs and arms, their covered in cuts and bruises. My brother then says "Good your awake." He then starts throwing rocks and bricks at me. I scream until he stops. That's when I wake up. Jack is holding me. And everyone is gathered around me.

"You ok?" Jack says.

"No."

"What happened?" North says.

"A nightmare."

"Another one?" Bunny says.

"What happened Jack?" North asks.

"We were walking back to the bedroom, when all of a sudden she collapsed. After about a minute of trying to wake her up, she starts screaming. That's when you all came running to see what the matter was."

I start crying. Jack holds me closer and whispers in my ear "It was just a dream don't worry."

After about 5 mins I stop crying and everyone leaves.

North then asks if he could borrow Jack. I nod.

Jack POV

"Jack, are you sure you can handle this?" North says.

"Yes, I'm sure."

"You really have to watch her. I'm pretty sure that Pitch is targeting her. Never let her out of your sight. Don't tell anyone this, she is my daughter. That is why I choose you. I trust you to watch her."

"I won't tell anyone or her. And I will watch her every move." I then walk back to April.

"Hey. You ok?" I ask her.

"No. I'm not sure if it was a dream or nightmare." April says

"I'm pretty sure it was just a nightmare. Come here." I open up my arms and give her a hug.

"Thanks. I've never trusted anyone as much as I trust you." April says as she is hugging me.

We start walking back to the bedroom, when all of a sudden April turns to me and kisses me. "I love you," she says. Then we keep walking. When we get to the bedroom we talk all night about our nightmares and dreams. By the time morning comes she is asleep on my lap. I hear a voice coming down the hall and that makes me wake up all the way. When the door opens I freeze, then relax when I see its North.

"Is she still asleep?" North asks.

"Yup," I reply.

"That's good. I need you to stay here and watch her," North says.

"Why?"

"Tooth and Bunny thought they saw Pitch but they aren't sure, so me and Sandy are going to check on them."

"Ok. What should I tell her when she wakes up?"

"Say that we went to visit Tooth." North says.

"Ok. See you later."

North then leaves and I fall back asleep.
