Eleanor's POV-

The apocalypse started about six months ago. I reunited with my best friend Carl Grimes and his father, Rick and mother, Lori. The rest of his group and I are all really close. We consider each other family now since everyone either lost all of their family or they just have not a single clue where they could be. i know that my parents are gone, I never saw my older brother get bit when we were separated so he could still be out there.

"Ela?" Carl asked. Sometimes the group called me Ela for short.

"Yeah?" I questioned, curious of what he wanted to say.

"Do you wanna go on a run with me into town?" We were currently staying at Hershel's farm. The town didn't seem so far away but it was actually about 10 miles.

"Sure!" I happily replied. I've always liked going on runs, especially with Carl. I kind of liked him as more than a friend but I wouldn't want to ruin our friendship so I kept quiet. I quickly walked over to my tent to get my knife and my gun.

"Ready to go?" I asked while walking over to Carl.

"Yep."

(IN TOWN)

Carl and I were currently looking through an abandon home. I looked through the upstairs level while Car searched downstairs.

"Ela!" Carl yelled. I quickly ran down the stairs hoping he was ok. He was but probably not for too long. I looked out the window to reveal hundreds of walkers and it was practically a blizzard out there.

"Shit" I heard Carl mutter.

"We'll be fine. We can just stay the night here then head back to the farm when this all clears up." I said trying to calm him which worked slightly.

"Ok." He looked a little sad because he wouldn't be able to let his parent know that he was ok and that we'd be back soon.

(5 DAYS LATER)

Carl's POV-

I'll admit I kind of liked being stuck here with Eleanor. I like her more than a friend. I would just go right up to her and tell her how I feel but thats not the important task at hand right now. The snow has cleared up enough to get to the farm and the walkers all moved their way to the back of the house we were staying in.

'KNOCK! KNOCK!' There was a knocking at the door. Ela walked slowly to the door, gun at hand and silently stood upon her toes to peep through the hole in the door. She looked shocked at first but then that quickly changes to pure happiness.
