Chapter 2

ELEANOR'S POV-

I stood up on my tip toes to peek through the peep hole. When I looked through I saw my sister Emily standing on the porch. I quickly lowered my gun and swung open the door and pulled her into a tight hug. At first she didn't recognize me but the remembered that I was the only one who hugged her like that. She quickly hugged back when my eyes met Carl's. He has met Emily a few times before and they seemed to get along really well. He smiled at me while I continued to squeeze the hell out of my ten month older sibling.

"Where have you been hiding? We have a group at a farm, do you want to go with us? Is anyone else with you? Are you bit or scra-" I was cut off by Emily.

"Slow down, girl!" She replied laughing, then continued. "I have been on the run so I haven't stayed in any place special. Yeah, I'll come with you! I wouldn't leave you, ever! No, no one else is with me and I am not bit or scratched" she replied. I always wondered how she could remember a bunch of questions like that and just answer them like its no big deal. "Hey, Carl!" She added while waving to Carl and sending him a small smile.

"Hi!" He replied mocking her actions.

"So, where's this 'farm' you're talking abou-" suddenly Emily was cut off with loud banging, scratching, and growling at the back door.

"WE NEED TO GO!" Carl yelled to both of us while running to the front door. Suddenly the back door flew open as me and Emily made our way from the back of the house to the front. I noticed the walkers were quickly gaining on Emily so we tried to speed up but only I did while Emily trailed a little behind. I reached the door where Carl was waiting for us. As soon as I got out of the house I turned around expecting to see Emily coming out the door and Carl closing it behind he, but instead I saw Carl shutting the door before she got out. After the door was shut there was a sound of someone trying to open it then ear splitting screams closely following.

"What the hell, Carl!" I screamed at him trying to open the door trying to get it open. He quickly picked me up and carried me towards the direction of the farm. "Put me down!" I scream with tears pouring out my eyes. I struggled in his grip but he was too strong.

He finally put me down after about five minutes and I quickly turned trying to go back to the house. I knew she was dead but I just wanted to be where she was. Carl quickly ran to my side turning me around. His hands rested upon my shoulder trying to get me to turn back toward the farm and thats what I did. I jerked away from his grip and walked quickly towards the farm. "Eleanor!" Carl called out to me. I ckntinued walking. "Eleanor, wait!" He jogged to my side and walked at my speed. I gave him a quick glare then quickly turned my head and focused on the way I was going again. "I'm sorry, Eleanor. I did what I did because if that door stayed open you would most likely get eaten alive! I don't want that happening to you. We went on this run together, not alone because we we're supposed to look out for one another, I'm supposed to bring you back to the farm alive, not leaving you behind dead. Thats not what the group wants! Thats not what anyone wants! Thats not what I want." He mumbled the last part to himself quietly but I just continued walking with our bags of food for the group. Carl sighed then looked into the distance and saw the farm. I began walking faster and Carl copied my actions. We neared the farm and I saw Lori pacing back and fourth around the yard, Rick trying to calm her, and the rest of the group and Hershel's family sitting around looking at a map. We were too far for them to hear us if we yelled and it would attract walkers so we stayed quiet and made our way to the farm.
