The next morning, I got up right before the sun was rising. I didn't sleep too much after what has happened yesterday, and had compunction. But I didn't know why. I didn't do anything, did I? I dressed up into a sleeveless red plaid shirt, dark jeans, and my boots. I braided my hair into a reverse parquet braid, and walk down from the caravan. It was still dark, but it seemed, the sun also tried to get up, just like me.
I started to roast the fish from the last day, and everything was quiet, and peaceful, but unwinking. But maybe that was what I needed right then. To be alone with my thoughts. After the first fish was ready, I heard someone is walking in the woods. When I recognized who was it, I felt nettled, and I was like wanting to disappear from his eyes, to not let him see me, because as for me I was the first one who he saw on that day. He didn't greet, or even look at me, just got on the caravan. When he finished, he disappeared like donkey in the fog.
Thoughtfully, but I succeeded in rosting the fish for everyone, then when nearly all of us was awaken, I left the fire behind, and climed up to the car, to watch the localities. I didn't have breakfast, didn't speak to anyone all day, just when Lori came up and brought an apple to eat something for lunch, but I refused it. I had no appetite.
- But you have to eat something, if you don't want to fell onto the ground again, just like in the forest when Daryl found you.
I looked up to her in my surprisement.
- So you want to say that Daryl was who found me?
- Yes. Why, what did you think?
- Merle said that he brought me here, and Daryl didn't care about me.
- It was vice versa. Moreover Daryl saved you from Merle. Merle wanted to take you away somewhere, but Daryl didn't let him to do it, according to what the young Dixon told us.
Without any reply, I rushed down to find Daryl. Maybe that is why he is mad at me. Because Merle lied to me, and I believed everything. How could I do that? I could have thought that Merle is not famous for his honesty.
I searched for Daryl everywhere, and when I found him, he was walking away into the forest with his crossbow. I wanted to go after him, but then it seemed better if I let him be. He didn't want to see me right now, I was sure about that, and the others needed me to help them. But I was worried about him, I hoped that we will come back. We needed him here.
The rest of the day, Carl and Sophia were playing with each other, Shane went away with Rick and Glenn, and the others were just hanging around, and doing nothing interesting. It was a peaceful day without any attacks or killings. Suddenly a voice was speaking in the radio. We couldn't understand it clearly, but the one thing that we knew was that it was someone who wanted to reach us, and come here. All of us ran to the radio, and Dale tried to tell him, where we are, and after that the man told us where he is. The only thing that we understood, was that he was next to the road number 65. When Dale finished, we didn't hear any reply. So we just hoped that he was still alive.
- I'll go out to that road. We cannot leave him there. - started to pack some things for the saving expedition.
- But you have to think about it, we only heard that he is next to the road, and there is not just only one road near here. Why do you always have to be a busybody?
