chapter 6

It was a year later since she got better and come from the hospital. She thought that she would have the relationship she had back in the day. But it seemed like Dominic was back to his old ways and not paying her any attention. She got home and sat with her kids trying to not be upset. One day as she was checking the mail she noticed something for her 25th high school reunion that made her happy. She was thinking about seeing her old friends that she lost contact. She started to think about the guy she loved other then Dominic. She remembered the day she met him.

Flashback

Bess was sitting alone outside at the table when Rusty pulled up to her on his bike wondering why she looked so down.

"Hey I'm Rusty I noticed you look a little upset is everything ok."

"Yeah I'm fine. This guy I hang with is out with the flu and I'm here alone. By the way my name is Elisabeth people call me Bess."

"I was gonna get some lunch wanna come."

"Sure." She jumped on his bike and rode away, they stopped at Sonic and he took her somewhere else. It was dirt road somewhere that seems like no one went there. They got the rocks and started to talk."

"So Bess is that guy you talking about your boyfriend."

"No just a guy." After about 30 minutes of talking he turned to before putting in some music.

"Do you like hard rock or metal music?"

"I like hard rock and some metal." He put on some slipknot and he grabbed her hand and held it. Soon they were dancing to the music. They didn't care that it was metal they still slowed danced.

The next day

Dominic was still out sick. Rusty and Bess where spending all time together since Rusty started to go school here Marie and wanted to know what is was up with that so she went to Bess.

"It seems like you really like the new guy is Rusty you know you when Dominic gets back he gonna something is up."

"Yeah I know he really cool and I like being around him."

"Who do you like more Dominic or Rusty?" To Bess she liked them both in the same way so much she couldn't chose.

"I like them both but I would like to go out with Rusty." At lunch Rusty and Bess sat the table and started to talk some more.

"Rusty so are you from Marianna."

"No I moved her a week ago I'm from Little Rock. I guess you were lived here all your life."

"Yup so you like it here."

"Yeah I like too here and meeting you make things better that I get to hang out with someone. You're my only friend here." As they were sitting there he pulled out some smokes he took one and passed to her.

"You want one I don't mind if you don't smoke."

"No I don't smoke." He lit up and to started smoke as he was half way done with it Mr. Turner came outside looking at Rusty he looked mad.

"There's no smoking here on school ground." Rusty just keep smoking like Mr. Turner wasn't there Bess could tell something was going down.

"I put it out why are you still here staring me down."

"I told you no smoking and you keep on. You're in trouble." He turned to Bess smiling he grabbed her by her hand.

"Get on we're getting out of here." She jumped on the back of the bike and the two are long gone with the dust flying around Mr. Turner. He drove to the dirt road when they got there they sat on the rocks listening to some system of the down.
