darling, isn't it odd that we gaze at the same stars each night - yet you can barely glance into my eyes?

you used to claim galaxies swirled in my irises and moondust clung to the tips of my lashes.

but now, the planets no longer orbit around you. and the sun dies quicker each day -

my solar system is frozen since you've gone away.

and i clutch at my heart every time you now speak my name, it warms my celestial soul when you even look my way.

for without you, i fear i'll just become a cloud of dust and drift into the cold -

the memories that were once between us have grown old.
