As I walked into the main building of school, I could instantly tell there was rumours going around. I paced towards my friend, Jenni, as I always rely on her to feed me with all the school buzz since I'm usually too late to discover the news for myself.
Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings are all filled with blood tests and check ups. Doctors are crazily concerned about my health. It totally has nothing to do with cigarettes and alcohol. No, not me... If you're a bit slow, that was sarcasm. Of course I smoke and drink! What sort of teenager do you think I am. I don't like to see myself this way but honestly, I'm a disaster. Jenni doesn't make me any better. She's the one that's always dragging me to parties, trying to hook my up with the guys that are that sexually addicted to pleasure they would do anything with anyone. Now I'm not on that low of a level. I do respect myself!
As I reached Jenni's locker a look of fright grew on her face. I'm not surprised. I looked dreadful. Not even caked makeup could help the ghostly look I had achieved from getting a pint of blood extracted from my upper arm. She pulled me into a strong hug as she knew I despised blood tests. I despised the hospital as a whole. What they do for people is amazing, but what they have to do to actually get the results they want is horrific.
I stepped back from the hug and looked down at the floor in despair. "I can't keep doing this." I whispered.
"Hey," Jenni said, tilting my head up, "I know what will make you feel better." She grinned and pointed over to someone stood next to Jacob and Bryce. He was a tall guy with dark brown hair. He must have heard Jenni as he smiled at me. I just stood there, emotionless.
"Are you going to say anything?" Jenni asked. I just smiled back at him and turned around. Within a couple moments I could smell guys cologne as the boy walked towards me.
"Hey, I'm Hunter." He smiled again.
His facial features were so exaggerated but in a good way. In a way where you couldn't take your eyes off him. He had emerald, shining eyes. Our faces were so close together, I could see every little detail. He was perfect.
