Millenia passed, As i, Atatra Seretan, Stood watch, the lone person awake aboard sorrowful searcher. The lone Skyguard.

weeks after arriving, we had launched scoutships, each small, 50-60 crew each, but large enough to establish an advance base. Many crashed, and although we did not know at this point, one of them, came to crash on a planet that would one day be known as earth. There were no survivors, but DNA survived.

After this, we remained where we had entered the universe, Alone, a black star amongst the young constellations.

And we slept, the ship slept, 399,999 souls, in cryostasis, for an eternity, until one day.

I climbed out of my bed, as i had for the last million years, my joints not aching, as one would expect. The effects of the void surprised me even now. Out of the blue, i heard a sound, not a sound that i had made. It was sudden, but not the sound of an asteroid flying off the deflector, it was the sound of something tapping on the hull.

I walked to the command bridge, slipping into my combat uniform, and strapping on Absolver.

The bridge was a mess, no decay or rot, as you would expect, but piles of paper and equipment, as you would expect from a bridge that had not been cleaned since the day before. the odd thing with this was, that i had not been on the main bridge since the last time K'tan had been awake...i tried to recall the date, but gave up when the count went into the tens of thousands, instead tasking myself with clearing the piles of paper around the room, until the sensor console became visible. 2 things struck me simultaneously. One: several planets had formed in the area, just beyond the range where we would be in their gravity well, and two: several small, primative spacecraft had been attached to our hull, atleast 100 years old at oldest, the newest was the site of the activity.

Outside, on the hull, there appeared to be several figures in space suits, with small plasma torches, attempting to cut through the hull. They were having very little success.

I walked to the hangar bay, located on the underside of the blade shaped forward hull. I climbed into the cockpit of an EVA mech, and strapped myself in.

I grabbed the joysticks, and slowly guided the mech out of the hangar, sliding past the atmosphere shield slowly, then lighting up the ion drives to bring me to the section where the craft were attached.

As i slowly flew over the figures below, one happened to look up, and saw me looking down. It quickly drew it's friend's attention, and they both watched me glide slowly downwards, until my magnetic clamps locked onto the surface of the hull, and i walked towards them.

Now that i was looked at them from their level, i could see their faces clearly. Their space suits were barely fitting, as inside each, stood a small lizard, roughly an inch or two smaller than me, as one human would eventually say, looking remarkable like geckos.

They stood there staring at me, none of us knowing what to do. Taking initiative, i beckoned with the finger of of hand of the mech, and began to walk towards the hangar. I looked back, and they had packed their gear up, and were following behind, looking around the hull with awe, at what must have been the largest craft they'd ever seen.

We flew back into the Hanger, the two curious figures clambering in on all fours, then straightening out as the artificial gravity took effect. Checking that the atmosphere was fully pressurised, i pulled the release on the cockpit door, and it slid open, the hinges squeaking ever so slightly. The lizards walked towards me, wide eyed with curiosity, or maybe wide eyed because they did not appear to have eyelids. Slowly, they unscrewed their helmets, and sniffed around, looking around at the vast hangar, their eyes sliding over the fighters and the shuttles, the landing craft, the mechs, and coming to rest on the two battleships in their bays, on the far side of the hangar.

I activated my translator module, and walked towards them, speaking. 'Welcome friends, i am Atatra Seretan, and you?'

The figures looked at one another, obviously surprised that they could understand me. When they hesitated to speak, i determined that they were unsure how to  communicate with me.

'Just speak in your native language, my technology will translate' i encouraged them , smiling.

'I-i-i am Grecka snyli, and thiss iss grelken holdil' the creatured enunciated, stuttering 'w-we are curious, strange one, we have watched the sstars for thousands of cycless, and there hass alwayss been one dull sstar, yet n-now we stand here with you...who are you?'

I smiled, and simply said, 'follow me, i will show you', i walked down the corridor, towards the Data library.

And for the next 10 hours, i showed them history.
